With mandatory Digital Waste Tracking on the horizon, we’re busy preparing the Fred System to ensure everything is ready ahead of launch.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be getting in touch with all customers to discuss upgrading Fred. In the meantime, there are a few simple steps you can take now to help make the transition as smooth as possible.

Building on our existing connectivity, yards can now make instant bank payments, delivering a seamless experience from weighbridge through to payment.

This is in addition to the current functionality that allows yards to issue and load Bread cards — giving you even more flexibility in how you pay your customers.

𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 - 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴

As you may be aware, from October 2026, it will become mandatory for all types of waste in the UK to be tracked digitally.

We understand that some customers have been contacted by third-party software providers offering paid solutions to prepare for this change.

𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱-𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.

♻️ Increase Computers is part of the DEFRA Beta and User Panel for this project, and we’re working closely with to ensure the Fred System is fully ready for the new legislation.
♻️ Once implemented, all waste movements at permitted and licensed receiving sites will be automatically reported to the government via a direct data feed from the Fred System.

At this stage, no action is required from you. We will provide further updates and any necessary next steps in the New Year.

This Sunday, our Nick will be doing the Great North Run for the charity Bright Red. Bright Red are one of the charities that helped our Karl during his successful battle with Leukaemia.
