A more personalised online experience starts with choice.

That's why we're excited to introduce even more ways to customise the Recite Me Assistive Toolbar!

Users can now choose from yellow, white or black Toolbar icons, alongside our existing multicoloured options.

It's a small change that can make a big difference, helping people find the colours and contrast that feel clearest and most comfortable for them.

Fire safety information should be accessible to everyone.

With over 230,000 website visitors each year, the Fire Protection Association (FPA) is making its online resources more inclusive with Recite Me.

In just six months, visitors have used the Assistive Toolbar to view over 2,000 pages, with translation tools used 1,600 times across 85 languages!

How well are we preparing the next generation of digital professionals to build accessible products and experiences?

For the past year, Recite Me has been contributing to the Teach Access Europe Teaching, Learning and Workforce task group, exploring the accessibility skills industry needs and how these compare with what is currently being taught in higher education.

As part of that work, Teach Access Europe has launched a new survey looking at accessibility skills, hiring and organisational readiness across Europe.

Previous research in the US has highlighted a growing demand for accessibility skills alongside challenges finding qualified talent. Now, we want to better understand what that picture looks like across Europe.

If you work in digital products in Europe, your experience can help build that picture and ultimately inform how universities and colleges prepare future graduates for the workplace.

The survey takes around 25 minutes and closes on 26 October 2026. Link in comments below.

For International Dyslexia Awareness Day, we’re sharing the personal experience behind Recite Me.

Our founder and CEO, Ross Linnett, wasn’t diagnosed with dyslexia until after university. Having grown up feeling misunderstood at school, he recognised how differently people can process information and the difference the right support can make.

That experience inspired him to create Recite Me, helping more people access information in ways that work for them.

Today, Ross’s story continues to shape our work and our commitment to removing digital barriers so more people can learn, work and take part in everyday life.
