The first version of GeniSys AI LLMCore for Intel AI PC is now available on Github. This version of the project provides the code for the basics of the GeniSysAI smart home assistant, allowing you to communicate with GeniSys locally via PowerShell. The setup will install LLama 3.2 from HuggingFace and uses Intel® OpenVINO™ GenAI for fast inference.

Very excited to share the Intel AI PC arrived today courtesy of Intel. The AI PC is for a new CogniTech Systems LTD product, a version of CORE Local that is built specifically for Intel AI PC and Intel CPU, GPU & NPU(xPU), allowing LLM/SLM models to be run locally on the local network and removing the requirement to send proprietary data outside of the local network and CogniTech CORE platform.

A massive thanks to ! In addition to CogniTech CORE for Intel AI PC and related open-source additions, we will also be creating open-source code and tutorials to help people get started with Intel AI PC.

Google AI researchers have introduced new methods to improve how large language models (LLMs) perform with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), especially with long contexts. RAG helps LLMs access and use information from external sources to create better responses, but simply adding more information can sometimes hurt performance due to irrelevant or misleading "hard negatives." These methods include retrieval reordering, which prioritizes the most relevant information at the beginning and end of the input sequence, and fine-tuning techniques that train the LLM to better identify and filter out misleading content.

These new techniques aim to address the challenge of declining LLM performance when the volume of retrieved information increases. The research shows that these methods improve accuracy even with larger datasets by strategically managing the information flow and training the model to discern between relevant and irrelevant data.
