A lot of parents fit the seat, give it a wiggle, and still aren’t quite sure. The Thule Maple Connect checks the install for you, right there on your CarPlay screen and in the Thule app.

Seatbelt fit or ISOFIX base? Here’s the honest answer: what keeps your baby safe is how well the seat is installed and how it fits them. A carrier fitted correctly with the seatbelt is a safe install 💜

If you’re using the seatbelt to fit your infant carrier, here’s what to check:

✔️ Lap belt: goes across the front of the carrier, over where your baby’s legs are, and sits in both lap belt guides
✔️ Shoulder belt: goes around the back of the seat’s shell and into the rear belt guide
✔️ Pull it tight: take out any slack so the carrier doesn’t tip or slide
✔️ No twists: the belt should lie flat the whole way
✔️ Check the handle: this can differ between different seats, it may be upright or down towards baby’s toes

And the most important one: always check your manual. Every carrier is a little different. Belt routing, where the handle goes when you’re driving, and whether your car’s belt is long enough can all vary between seats and cars. The manual (and your car’s handbook) has the final say.

What does “Swedish Plus Tested” actually tell you about a car seat? 🇸🇪

It means the seat has passed a voluntary crash test with a strict limit on the force placed on a child’s neck. It’s one of the reasons we talk so much about rear-facing, the seat supports your child’s head and body together.

A Plus Test result is valuable, but it doesn’t tell you whether a seat will fit your child and your car. That’s where good advice and a proper fitting matter.
