❗️❗️HOLIDAY NOTICE❗️❗️

Most of my regular customers know my other great passion in life is both playing & watching live music, I'm off on a ferry to Europe for the next couple of weeks to bring this passion (and my fairly rusty bass guitar/vocal skills, it's been a while!) to the people of the Netherlands, Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. Unfortunately this means things are on hold with repairs from this Wednesday (23rd) until the 5th November, feel free to make a booking request via the website http://bk-appliance.co.uk/book for any repairs during this time & I will do my best to contact/book you in whilst I'm away for the 5th onwards. Thanks to everyone for bearing with me these last few weeks it's been pretty stressful getting everything in order, few personal events & changes in childcare due to the school holidays made it difficult some days to get back to non-desperate calls/messages. Starting Monday I should be back on track with everything so if you need a repair give me a message on here or if possible please use the booking request form on the website. You can always give me a call on 01395 911-112 but I do want to note that calls usually have the slowest return time compared to the website/messages as I can only usually sift through my voicemails at the end of each day. It's been a busy summer and I've been slower than usual but I'm still here I promise haha

April's finally over (although the rubbish weather isn't) and it's definitely been my busiest month so far to date! It also marked 3 years trading as BK Appliance Ltd, grateful to all customers new & old who have helped this business grow over the years, here's to many more! Didn't really have an image to post with this so have an award I won for some reason (despite never entering any awards, I'm not in it for the fame) and give me a call/message if you want something checked out next week, cheers!

I like to think of myself as somewhat of an expert but this is a new one on me! Apparently it's become such a common thing now that you can buy frames to help keep their shape too? Anyway if your hat washer/salmon cooker/dishwasher (or anything else) is broken give me a call, lots of spaces available next week at the moment but likely won't last long!

Had a nightmare of an afternoon with the van cutting out on a busy road just outside of Sidmouth, massive thanks to the mystery mechanic who's dad's driveway I was blocking for 2 hours waiting for the AA who managed to find the broken wiring for the injectors that I'd missed entirely in my haze of panic & managed to get me back on the road in time to finish the last jobs, just before the sun went down! My ancient van will live to see another work day or two at least, it definitely served as a healthy reminder of why I do the job I do because if it wasn't for that hero and one silly little wire my poor old van would have probably been straight on a recovery truck & likely off to the scrap yard tomorrow! Always check before you chuck!

Have you seen what Curry's/AO are charging these days for installation and removal?! If you've had a new freestanding appliance delivered & need this service don't pay these prices, give me a call (even for integrated machines I can pass you on to one of our fantastic local kitchen fitters). I always charge based on what's required for the job, and it'll always be less than this! Even machines beyond economical repair can be used for parts & I'll never charge for disposal of non-refrigeration appliances (refrigeration does carry a small charge) anything destined for the scrapyard will be sent off with a licensed waste disposal company, don't pay more!
