📸 Genuinely surprised this camera is still taking clear pictures! 😂

Went out to replace the smashed camera lens on this iPhone yesterday. Despite the lens being completely broken and the camera underneath being covered in dust, it was somehow still producing perfectly clear photos!

Usually when a broken camera lens is left like this, dust gets onto the exposed camera and can burn onto the camera lens itself, leaving permanent marks in photos and meaning the camera needs replacing as well as the outer lens.

Luckily this one seems to have been caught in time — new lens fitted without needing the much more expensive camera replacement. 👌

If your camera lens is smashed, it’s worth getting it sorted even if your pictures still look fine! 📱

One of today's mobile call-outs was for an overheating Xbox Series X.

The cause didn't take long to find... the heatsink was almost completely blocked with dust, restricting airflow and causing the console to overheat.

After a full internal clean, it's now running much cooler and quieter.

If your console is running louder than usual, overheating, or shutting down during gaming, it could simply be crying out for a clean.

The iRepair mobile workshop is nearly there!
Inside the van is now fully set up and operational - meaning we can now carry out a huge range of repairs directly at your home or workplace 🔧💻📱

Still a fair few finishing touches and cosmetic bits I want to improve inside but that is a next month weekend project… but functionality comes first, and we’re now at the stage where it’s ready to work properly 💪
