Exciting Job Opening - Wireless Network Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join this local fast pace & fast growing company in a critical role as you will be our public face and will most likely be the only person from the company the customer meets! You will be installing wireless broadband antennas on the exterior of premises (on chimneys, gable ends etc.) and the wireless access point / router within the home. You will test and record the connection, help to set up the internal network and ensure the customer is happy with the installation.

You will also pair up with other engineers to install backhaul equipment connecting new villages and hamlets.

You will be in charge of monitoring our network, fault finding and responding to customers faults both remotely and on site.

You will receive training, a company vehicle / tools and clothing.

You should have experience of:

Aerial or WiFi radio installation
Internal home wireless access / router configuration (training can be given)
Working in private homes
Providing an excellent, professional customer service
You should:

Be willing to work out of normal office hours to support customers
Willing to learn new skills
Have excellent communication skills
Take real pride in your work
Hold a full driving licence

Overview

We are an innovative technology orientated company based in Exeter, we specialise in providing SuperFast rural broadband to Devon residents who are unable to get fast broadband via a normal BT line.

The role

Key responsibilities

Answer the phone and build immediate rapport and confidence with the customer by listening to them to fully understand their reason for contact, and what we can do to help them
Take ownership for every customer interaction, taking personal responsibility to see it through to a resolution that leaves the customer feeling that we have made their life easier and better
Be accountable for ensuring that every customer interaction is handled to the same consistent high standard no matter what the issue
Use your natural people skills and initiative to effectively handle queries, resolve issues where possible, but escalating where needed
Always operate professionally and efficiently within a team committed to delivering exceptional customer experience and be able to show initiative during quieter periods
Be resilient and committed to delivering a consistent customer experience, even when higher call volumes or unforeseen service issues challenge customer contact levels and sentiment
Use problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical incidents, making sure we work in the spirit of continuous improvement
Be driven to get things right the first time to make sure the customer doesn’t need to call back
Assist the payroll department by supporting all billing

A big welcome to Dunsford Primary School!
