In the studio on Day 1 of our Saline Salt Etching 3 day course.

These images show the journey from etched aluminium plates to striking black-and-white and colour prints created during the first day of our 3 day aluminium etching course.

Using acrylic resists and saline salt etching, participants quickly discover the possibilities of aluminium, making it perfect for bold mark-making and experimental printmaking.

Whether you're new to printmaking or looking to expand your practice, this course offers an inspiring introduction to intaglio etching, with plenty of room for experimentation.

We’re back in Topsham on the Exe estuary, less than 15 mins from Exeter and a beautiful town.
FREE Tickets are available in advance via Eventbrite (see link in profile) and we have a hall packed with the most amazing illustration talent.

Look! Members have been busy in the studios this last week.

From woodcuts and linocuts in our downstairs studio to festive screen prints and multi-layered editions created in the screenprint studio upstairs, it's been a busy week at Double Elephant.

While admiring the work in progress of members Eleanor Webb and Emma Carlisle we spotted new work by Pat Ferns and Kyte Green drying in the racks.

These are just a few examples of the fantastic work being created by our members in our 2 printing studios located at The Phoenix Arts centre in Exeter.

It’s the last day of our exhibition at , and our final Meet The Artist is - cofounder of !

Lynn is showing a new body of etchings created with a saline-salt etching process she’s been exploring. Her plates, prints in progress and etching tools are displayed alongside too.

What a perfect rainy day to spend !
