We will be closed this evening from 10pm just for the weekend. And re open Monday morning. I’ve got myself in a bit of a muddle and with supplies delays the back log is building up. So before the Christmas rush we’ll and truly hits just closing the shop temporarily to give me a bit of breathing room. Our regular customers may remember that we STOP producing business stationery at the end of November and just become a gift and Christmas shop throughout December. We are only open for 2 weeks in December to allow us a break for Christmas. Its the only time me and Andy get off together. So if you need to stock up on business stationery please order before November the 30th.

A lot of people have been asking questions about our scenic work and what it involves!
First the designer, after extensive discussions with the director, creates a 1:25 model of the set.
Carpenters build the set, from technical drawings and use the model as a reference.
Scenic artists then come along and apply finishes to make the set look even more like the model.
This show, Love Letters at , is centered around a community saved pub. So that’s what we recreated on stage.
The tiled floor consisted of 4 sprayed stencils, in total 7 processes went into the floor alone.
The bar, woodgraining is my faaaaavourite thing to do. Obviously, to make a bar out of real oak would cost a loooooot of money. So it’s made out of ply and mdf, and we paint it to look like the wood finish the designer wants. Again this took around 6 processes.
As a local proud Essex girl, it’s been a privilege to work on a show celebrating Essex music. And you should definitely check out “Love Letters” when it opens! Support your local theatres when you can!!!!!

We are taking a short break from orders from today til sat 24th. It’s too hot to run the machines and we only get a few hours printing a day done. Normally we switch to nights when the weather warms up but as we are working elsewhere at the moment as well as running the shop, this isn’t possible. Also the work I’m doing outside of craftschmooze is very physical and my fibro is flaring up. We are still producing existing orders, just not taking any new ones on for the moment.

We realise we have neglected our page and our lovely followers the past few weeks. We have been super busy on some rather exciting other projects and it’s been a pretty rough month for lots of people on Etsy. So to celebrate Bank holiday and to save you some money, we have taken 10-20% off selected items in our ETSY shop ;) This ends Bank holiday Monday at midnight GMT!
