Immensely proud to have been working with on the launch of their 2026 Pavilion workshop series, ANTHOMANIA.

Anthomania describes an intense, often obsessive, love of flowers. In Fiona’s words, this series “is a little self-indulgent”, but beautifully so.

It’s an opportunity to explore flowers deeply. Up close and personal. To move beyond the idea of a “pretty bloom” and instead study form, history and meaning. Anthomania invites us to look closer, to dissect what we see and to reinterpret each flower through different creative mediums. As the season gently unfolds, a new bloom is spotlighted and explored.

From tulip printmaking and peonies in oils to rose remedies, sweet pea casting and viola embroidery, each workshop focuses on a single flower, set within the sanctuary of the PYRUS Walled Garden.

Bookings are now open. Gift vouchers are also available.

’s machine embroidery service has taken off this season, and it’s been a joy to support its rollout. I introduced this feature to Rosie’s website earlier this year, and the response has been phenomenal.
From delicate initials to full names, every stitch turns a bonnet, blanket or cardigan into a thoughtful, one-of-a-kind keepsake.

The deadline for Christmas personalisation is this Wednesday so if you’re planning a gift, be sure to place your order before then.

What a joy and privilege for ’s new website to be one of my final projects of 2025.

Rosie Steer is a writer, photographer and creator with a decade of work behind her. The author of Slow Seasons: A Creative Guide to Reconnecting with Nature the Celtic Way, published by Bloomsbury, she crafts gentle, seasonal content for old souls who long to slow down, simplify and return to the rhythm of the year.

This project was about creating a true home for everything she makes. In a world where we’re encouraged to scatter ourselves across endless platforms, Substack for writing, Instagram for community, third-party tools for events, it becomes harder for people to truly fall into your world. To stay. To explore. To belong.

A website, done well, becomes the anchor. The place where your community can spend time, not just scroll. Where your voice feels whole and uninterrupted. A brand world for the people who love what you create.

So we gathered everything: nearly a decade of WordPress content, reaching all the way back to 2016. We migrated it, reformatted it, re-categorised it. We created seamless integration between her new website and her Substack, where her writing continues to be monetised and where her most loyal readers gather. She’s now easily contactable for future collaborations and enquiries, too.

One of my biggest joys is the fully bespoke Celtic clock and calendar: a custom interactive component built using hand-coded HTML, CSS and JavaScript to show your exact season in real time, adapting for both hemispheres. Hours of design and development went into it (I’ve included the script in the second frame), and it’s become one of my proudest pieces of work this year.

Rosie’s first seasonal gathering of Yule is now live: a wreath-making workshop at on Dec 15. Reserve your place on her website.

If you’re a creator ready to build a brand world of your own, my next project start dates are:

• Feb 9
• Feb 23

Delighted to share that ’ Barnton Avenue project has been shortlisted in the Medium Project category at this year’s EAA Awards.

This one feels especially meaningful: the only family home in its category. In a city where so many of Edinburgh’s great houses have been divided or turned to commercial use, seeing one continue its life as a home feels worth celebrating.

Over the years, I’ve helped define and strengthen their position as one of the city’s leading practices for large-scale family homes: those generous, well-balanced spaces that blend function and refinement. They design for real life: the boots at the back door, the noise of kids running through, the rhythm of daily living that gives a home its soul.

These hardworking, no-frills spaces are always the most rewarding to see come to life. Architecture at its best isn’t just to be admired, it’s to be lived in.

Wishing the team the very best of luck at next week’s ceremony.

Today’s question is: “What even is strategy?”

In Episode 4, we’re unpacking why strategy isn’t just for new brands—and why it’s never too late to come back to it.

Strategy is the part of branding you can’t see, but it shapes everything else. It’s how we define what you want to put into the world, who it’s for, and how it all comes together in a way that feels aligned and intentional.

Without it, you’re reacting. With it, you’re leading.

Since the summer, I’ve worked on a run of back-to-back strategies. Each one completely different. From a trail running startup finding its footing (pun intended) in a saturated industry to a globally renowned architect opening a new studio in Edinburgh, the sectors vary, but the need for clarity is always the same.

My three-part framework has been refined over eight years across industries. It’s designed to uncover, articulate and activate your brand—using a working Google Doc that evolves with you rather than a static PDF that gathers dust.

Missed Episode 3? Catch up now to explore whether events really help build a brand—and why the strongest brands don’t just exist online, they’re felt in real life.

Yesterday at 19:19, timed perfectly with the Autumn Equinox, ’ new website went live.

It’s been a joy to finally collaborate with PYRUS, a brand that’s been on my wishlist since 2017. In an industry where most flowers are flown thousands of miles at huge environmental and human cost, PYRUS offers a different path: British-grown, seasonal flowers, nurtured and arranged with artistry and care.

Led by Founder and Creative Director Fiona Inglis, PYRUS brings a sculptural, emotionally-led approach to floristry. But the work is never Fiona’s alone—it’s a dialogue with the living garden itself, supported by a team whose practice honours the materials they grow and gather. Every stem carries both responsibility and possibility.

This wasn’t about starting from scratch. Instead, we built on the solid foundations PYRUS has laid since 2011, taking time to understand the growth and knowledge gathered over more than a decade, and shaping that into a new chapter for the brand. Alongside the refreshed Squarespace website, we also refined positioning and messaging (one of our favourite parts of the process) capturing PYRUS’s voice and ethos in words as well as design.

Their new digital home mirrors the garden itself: intentional, evolving and quietly powerful. It elevates the positioning so the right clients can instantly connect with the depth of creativity on offer, while bringing clarity and structure behind the scenes to support the ever-increasing flow of enquiries.

If you’re ready to build on the foundations you already have—refining, elevating and shaping them into a new chapter—I’m now booking my final projects of 2025. The next available start dates are:

We’ve done it! .coffee’s rebrand is now live.

When Heartland first reached out to me last August, it felt like a dream brief. One of the UK’s first and most-loved coffee roasters—with a quietly loyal community that’s followed them from London to North Wales—was preparing to mark its 20th year in business.

They were looking for a rebrand that was considered, meaningful and true to who they are. Not trend-led. Not flashy. Just thoughtful, well-crafted and quietly confident.

Over the past year, I’ve led a full brand transformation across strategy, packaging and digital—bringing together their identity into one cohesive system that honours their roots while opening up space for the next chapter of growth.

At the core of the new identity is a symbol designed to distill the entire brand into a single, enduring mark. Early exercises broke Heartland into “heart” and “land”, leading me to a form that captures both the human and environmental foundations of the business. The centre represents the source—the farmer, the coffee, the craft—while radiating rings evoke the land, its care and the ever-growing community around it. The pattern expands with a quiet rhythm, its stroke widths ebbing and flowing to mirror nature’s raw, unrefined beauty.

You can now explore the full new brand world via their beautiful Shopify website—where, for the first time, you can buy their coffees through subscription. The packaging was printed by in Aberdeen and photographed by .

To the Heartland team: you’ve been one of the kindest, most gracious groups I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Thank you for making this year of work so joyful. Here’s to many more years of collaboration.

This is a first iteration of packaging for a raw pressed juice brand I’m working on. It steps beyond the expected—using an intentionally unconventional palette that contrasts with the natural colours of the ingredients inside.

Before arriving at this point, I thoroughly analysed direct competitors in the beverage space—understanding their strengths, weaknesses and visual language. I also drew references from industries far beyond this category, including beauty and skincare, to build a product that not only stands out in its immediate context but resonates with consumers in ways they’re already familiar with. This kind of thinking is what sets a brand apart—not just within its category, but as a cultural connector.

This is how I help founders like you build brands that lead—grounded in insight, elevated by design and tuned into the aspirations of your audience.

Since 2021, I’ve worked with to elevate their business—leading a comprehensive rebrand, redesigning their website, securing their place on Google’s first page, and enhancing brand discovery. At MCS, we don’t focus on quick wins; we build long-term impact. That’s why we champion thoughtful, long-form content. For an architectural firm, where every project embodies precision and vision, a single photo or short clip simply doesn’t cut it. Long-form content tells the complete story—showcasing the process, the ideas, and the craftsmanship in a way that truly resonates.

’s latest film, produced in collaboration with the incredible , is a perfect example of that. It’s the culmination of ideas we’ve shared and developed over time, giving Seán and Tom the opportunity to tell the full story behind their Barnton Avenue project—a thoughtful, beautifully crafted family home.

This is just one example of how I help ambitious brands cut through the noise with richer, more compelling stories. With many exciting projects on the horizon for our clients in 2025—from satellite dinners in new cities to summer residences and even sneaker collaborations—this year is all about bold ideas and lasting impact.

At MCS, we partner with visionary founders who value quality and are ready to lead with creativity and substance. If you’re ready to elevate your brand in 2025, let’s make it happen.

Thrilled to unveil this website I designed and built for by —a refined, gallery-like digital space that seamlessly translates their thoughtful offline presence into a compelling online experience.

As a Shopify Partner, I specialise in creating bespoke e-commerce solutions tailored to brands that value storytelling, creativity, and quality. The brief was to craft a digital presence that celebrates these values, aligning perfectly with the artistry of . By adhering closely to ’s Brand Guidelines, the result is a website that feels more like an artful portfolio than a conventional e-commerce platform.

A standout feature is the horizontal gallery on the product pages, an intuitive and immersive design choice that mirrors the experience of exploring pieces in person. Each product page dives deep into the story of its creation, weaving craftsmanship and narrative into the customer journey. This ensures that the digital experience resonates with the same richness and authenticity as the physical one.

Built with simplicity and longevity in mind, this site demonstrates that a strong digital presence doesn’t have to be overly complicated. Thoughtful, meaningful design is what connects with audiences and builds lasting impact. The debut collection, The Glassblower’s Vessels, marks the beginning of this journey, with more exciting collections to come in 2025.

I’m also managing their Instagram account—follow along to see their journey unfold.

If you’re looking to elevate your brand with a bespoke Shopify website that tells your story and captivates your audience, let’s create something remarkable together.
