Congratulations to Pentland Ferries on winning Ferry Operator of the Year at the National Transport Awards!

PENTLAND FERRIES IS DELIGHTED TO WIN FERRY OPERATOR OF THE YEAR IN THE NATIONAL TRANSPORT AWARDS 2026

Collecting the award at a ceremony in the Westminster Park Plaza in London last night (Thursday 1 October) is managing director, Helen Inkster, and Pentland Ferries directors and Banks’ family members, Kathryn, Jenni and Laura.

The Shetland Wool Week Annual 2026, Volume Twelve will be available to pre-order early next week!

Here’s a sneak peek at one of the beautiful patterns you’ll find inside 👀

This year’s theme, ‘Knitting with the Seasons of Shetland’, taking inspiration from the colours, textures and spirit of Shetland throughout the year.

We invited designers to create patterns inspired by the seasons, resulting in a beautiful collection that celebrates Shetland’s changing landscape – and the weather in between.

🔸Pre-orders open early next week so make sure you’re signed up to the SWW newsletter or are following us on Facebook and Instagram for all the latest updates.

We’ll have the Annual available from the start of Shetland Wool Week, so if you’re in Shetland you’ll be able to collect your copy in person. It will also be available in print and/or digital versions.

Albany Street looking a little different these days!
We happened to go past last week and, with Shaw celebrating 40 years in business, it was great for some of our newer team members to see one of the places where so many memories were made and creative ideas came to life.

A fun project that left the office last week…

We illustrated these designs for a client’s new merchandise, and it was lovely to see them brought to life as stickers for children at the local County Show.
