We’ll be honest… the score predictions weren’t exactly full of confidence. 😅 So we parked that idea and dug out a wee reminder instead. A reminder of what happened the last time this Scotland team got the bit between their teeth.

Bicycle kicks.
Belters.
Limbs everywhere.

It’s Brazil, nobody pretending tonight will be easy. But football has a funny habit of springing a surprise. Every now and then, David gets a crack at Goliath. And every now and then, a team gets the chance to write itself in the history books.

So before kick-off… here’s a wee reminder of what these lads are capable off.

Not every connection starts with broadband. 💚

This month, we've awarded £12,000 through our GoFurther Fund to four incredible organisations making a difference in their communities:

📍 Cornerstone Community Care, Galashiels
📍 The General Store, Selkirk
📍 Stable Life, near Selkirk
📍 Hawick High School Inclusion Hub

The funding will support projects helping people feel more connected, confident and included, from supporting adults with learning disabilities and helping older residents build digital confidence, to creating opportunities for young people who need alternative routes to thrive.

At GoFibre, we're passionate about connecting communities, and that goes beyond broadband. Through our GoFurther Fund, we're proud to support the people and organisations creating positive change where it matters most.

⚠️ DIGBY UPDATE ☀️🍊👀

The last time we heard from our World Cup correspondent, he was making the most of Boston ahead of Scotland v Morocco. Unfortunately, that one didn’t quite go our way.

But football moves quickly and Digby has now checked in from Miami ahead of Scotland's final group stage match against Brazil on Wednesday.

A new city.
A new backdrop.
And another chapter of the adventure.

For now, our travelling correspondent is soaking up the Florida sunshine and trying not to think about football every five minutes.

After two games, it became clear Scotland needed a few more goals. We had a spare lunch break, so we did the only sensible thing... we held trials in the office.

The challenge was simple: hit the target and stake your claim for a call-up. To be fair, some performances showed promise. Others nearly took out their teammates…

Who gets the call-up? Steve Clark, if you're watching, we'll let you decide.

More communities across North East Scotland are now live with full fibre broadband. 💚

Following our first connections in Edzell, Inverbervie and Longforgan, more homes and businesses will be added to the GoFibre network in Montrose, Dunkeld, Bankfoot, Newtonhill, Portlethen, Alyth and Coupar Angus in the months to come.

For local residents, that means smoother streaming, better home working and staying connected to the people and things that matter most. For local businesses, it means having the connectivity they need to grow and serve their customers.

The rollout is also supporting local jobs, creating 30 construction roles and supporting up to 180 jobs over the course of the build.

As Scotland's fastest growing broadband provider, we're proud to be bringing full fibre to more towns and villages that have been overlooked for too long.

And we're only just getting started. 🚀

A funny thing has happened since Scotland beat Haiti… people have started believing.

The score predictions are back for match two, and after years of heartbreak, near misses and saying “maybe next time”… there's a lot more optimism flying about.

In fact, the most popular prediction in the office was 1-1. Not exactly a goal-fest, but it would be enough to make history and send Scotland through to the World Cup knockout stages for the first time ever (no pressure, lads).

The predictions are in. The nerves are building. And, across the country, thousands of lucky tops are being dug once again.

Not long now.

⚠️ DIGBY UPDATE 🇺🇸⚽️👀

Our official World Cup correspondent has checked in with the latest from Boston.

Historic landmarks have been admired, famous sights have been ticked off and, if there’s a tourist checklist, Digby’s doing his best to complete it.

Proper city tourist day, this one.

A welcome distraction too, because if we’re being honest, thoughts keep drifting back to tomorrow.

Scotland v Morocco… A draw would be enough to make history and send us through to the World Cup knockout stages for the first time ever!!

For now though, Digby’s doing his best not to think about football (not sure it’s working).

The World Cup adventure continues tomorrow…

⚠️ Mission update

Our official World Cup correspondent has checked in from Boston after watching Scotland get their World Cup campaign off to a winning start. 💪

Mini Digby spent the day taking in Fenway Park, the iconic home of the Boston Red Sox.

Different sport, same atmosphere. The Tartan Army has a knack for turning up wherever there’s a big occasion, and Boston has certainly felt the energy.

Foam finger secured. Popcorn sampled. Fenway firmly ticked off the list. 😎

The World Cup adventure rolls on…

Maddy's turn in the hot seat 🔥

We were expecting a few surprises.
We weren't expecting six alarms every morning and and blackhead-popping videos getting airtime.

Some answers raise more questions than they answer. 😅

Always great to see our team getting involved in the communities we serve. 💚
