➡️ What are you offering?

➡️ What do you want visitors to do next?

And just as importantly - why should someone choose you?

That’s why every website project I take on starts with a one-hour Planning & Strategy Session.

It’s where we ask the right questions, get clear on the direction and build the foundations for a successful website.

New website launch for Claire Wheatley at The Flexible PA.

It started with a short chat on a networking call, where Claire mentioned in passing that a new website was on her radar.

We followed up outside the call and – ta-da – decided to work together.

She’s honestly been the best client – responsive, getting everything to me on time, and trusting me with the process.

Claire wanted a new website that reflected her new branding from The Ricketty Desk and wanted a clear positioning for the next stage of growth.

So that’s exactly what we built.

I also moved the site from Wix to WordPress, migrated the existing blog content, and took care of all the behind-the-scenes bits & bobs to make the move as smooth as possible.

And some lovely feedback from Claire:

New website launch for the wonderful team at Mother to Mother.

Mother to Mother is a London-based charity supporting families in the early months of parenthood with practical, emotional and community support.

They wanted a website that reflected the warmth, care and impact of their work, whilst raising awareness of the wonderful support they offer.

So that’s exactly what we built.

A site that’s easy to navigate, showcases the charity’s impact through stories and numbers, and strengthens the overall communication with families, volunteers, donors and partners.

And then some lovely feedback…

There are hundreds of thousands of website designers out there!

So finding the right one for you is going to take a bit of work, but with some thorough research and careful vetting, you will find them.

Here are some tips for finding the right website designer for you:

1. Do Your Research:

Start by looking at potential designers’ portfolios and reading reviews from previous clients. Check out their websites to get a sense of their work and also take a look at their social media and LinkedIn profile for insights into their style and professionalism.

2. Assess Their Work:

Look at how their previous projects perform in terms of design, functionality, and user feedback. This can help you gauge how well they’ll be able to translate your brand vision into your web design.

Also, look at who they’ve worked with. Have they worked with other value-led businesses or businesses similar to yours that uphold the same ethical approach?

3. Meet With Them:

Perhaps most importantly, meet up with your potential designers either online or in person. This will show you a lot about their working style, commitment to deadlines, and handling of client input.

It will give you a good sense of whether you can work and communicate with them. Ask detailed questions to understand their process and ethics.

Ultimately, follow your instincts and don’t ignore your gut feelings. You’ll know when you find the right person for you.
