I see SO much “perfection” online

The perfect background set up
The perfect home decor
The perfect wardrobe
The perfect beauty routine
The perfect work set up
The perfect life

And whilst “perfect” is subjective, I think it’s important to show real life - which is the case for the majority of people.

I felt like I was failing for ages because life didn’t look as aesthetic as those I saw online.

There’s actually soooo many more that I’ve come to realise are just because of undiagnosed ADHD, but also make me me.

When I say I “don’t like” them, it’s more that I find them frustrating, and some I can laugh about. Most of these impact every day life but it is what it is.

It’s about making the best of what you have 🫶

Let me tell you a short story…

Someone I was speaking to said their grandparents were going to go on their last holiday at the end of that month.

I said what do you mean “last” holiday?

She said “well they’re retired now and are old so want to visit Spain one last time”

And this made me so sad.

Imagine logging online and booking your last ever trip because you’re too weak and fragile to enjoy the “free” life you worked so hard for.

We’re told we can enjoy our retirement but in reality, a lot of people sadly don’t even reach retirement, or they have 5-10 years I’d they’re lucky of “freedom”.

We’re in this life only once, so you won’t catch me wasting it, spending my best years working so hard that I can’t even do the things that excite me.

Don’t put your life on pause, start living it NOW whilst you still can 🤍
