I used to think high-paying roles were only for people with perfect CVs, elite degrees, or years of experience.

Then I realised something.
A lot of people are not more qualified. They are just better at positioning themselves.

I stopped waiting to feel “ready.”
I learnt how to communicate my value, apply confidently, and put myself in the right rooms.

That shift changed everything for me.

I remember leaving an interview thinking, I can actually do this job… so why didn’t that come through? 🥹

I had the experience. I answered every question. On paper, I was more than qualified.
But my examples were all over the place and I assumed the panel would connect the dots for me. They didn’t.

That’s when it clicked for me. Most interviews aren’t lost because people aren’t good enough. They’re lost because their story isn’t clear and their value isn’t positioned properly.

If interviews feel hit and miss, or you keep getting to the final stage with no offer, it’s usually not a skills issue. It’s a clarity issue.

I stopped sending the same weak CV everywhere and actually started positioning myself properly.

A few small changes completely changed my results:
25 interview calls and 3 contract offers later… here we are. 👀

Most people are not bad candidates.
Their CV just isn’t communicating value fast enough.

I removed outdated sections, fixed the structure, added measurable achievements, tailored my applications properly, and suddenly recruiters started responding.

Your CV should not read like a job description.
It should market you.
