Another busy week sorting out numerous systems, including one where the GPU literally started to smoke after a component on the board went pop and needed a new GPU, another system freshly built by a new customer wasn't booting up at all and had no display and then finished off with a great refurbished system sold with a rather nice new GPU.

And this, folks, is why we renew the thermal paste and keep the PC clean. Really dry thermal paste means poor heat transfer from those toasty COU and GPU chips, so much so that fans sound like a jet engine and performance has to be reduced to keep temps in check 🥵

New customer brought their system on for a health check after it was shutting down whilst gaming. Might not seem much, but that PCIe power cable not being fully inserted was the likely culprit, not to mention some very dry thermal paste on the CPU and GPU needing replaced 🥵
