Trainee Coffee Roaster & Operations Assistant

Love coffee and looking to grow beyond the bar? We’re on the lookout for someone passionate about speciality coffee to join our team as a Trainee Coffee Roaster & Operations Assistant.

This role would suit someone with some barista experience who’s curious about roasting, production, and everything that happens behind the scenes to get great coffee from the bean to the cup.

What you’ll be doing
• Helping with day-to-day roasting
• Serving coffee to roastery customers and taking payment
• Packing and preparing online coffee orders for delivery
• Learning about roasting profiles, green coffee, coffee origins, sourcing and quality control
• Helping with social media content and day-to-day website and social media management
• Keeping the workspace clean, organised, and running smoothly
• Delivering to local wholesale and residential customers
• Working with our existing wholesale customers and identifying new opportunities

What we’re looking for
• Barista experience
• A real interest in specialty coffee and a desire to learn
• Reliable, hands-on and proactive
• Good attention to detail
• Creative contributor to social media and website ideas and content
• Team-player with a positive attitude
What you’ll get

• Sociable working hours (Monday to Friday, 8am to 3pm) with occasional weekends (Saturday, 10am to 2pm)
