A failing battery can slow down your phone, overheat it, and even damage other parts. Here are the warning signs your phone is already asking for a replacement!

Random Shutdowns
If your phone turns off even at 20–40%, the battery can no longer give stable power. You may also notice sudden drops in battery percentage. Frequent shutdowns mean your battery needs replacing.

Slow Charging
When charging takes much longer than usual, your battery cells aren’t accepting power efficiently. This can happen due to age or internal wear. Slow charging is an early warning of battery deterioration.

Fast Draining Battery
Your phone drops from 100% to 50% too quickly because the battery can’t hold charge anymore. This usually happens as the battery ages or gets exposed to heat. If the draining becomes consistent, it’s time for a replacement.

Overheating Easily
A healthy battery shouldn’t heat up from light tasks like texting or scrolling. If your phone gets warm often, the battery is working harder than it should. Persistent overheating is a strong sign the battery is failing.

Battery Swelling
A swollen battery can push the screen or back cover upward, creating gaps. This is dangerous because swollen batteries can leak or burst. If you see any bulging, stop using the device immediately.

Low Performance
Laggy apps and long loading times can happen when the battery can’t supply consistent power. The phone slows itself down to compensate. Replacing the battery often brings performance back to normal.
