We’re looking for developers to join our team building powerful simple-to-use web applications for the law technology market. We work with current tools such as React.js, AWS, Java/Groovy (Grails 4), Docker, Cypress (e2e testing), d3.js visualisations and Git, and we use Agile processes and continuous integration to build and deploy our responsive desktop and mobile web app for a rapidly growing business sector.
As an experienced full stack developer, you’ll work across the full cycle of development and deployment. Day to day tasks will include: working closely with our product team and bringing an engineering perspective to discussions; problem solving, learning and selecting engineering options; contributing to sprint planning, refinement, implementation and retrospectives; conducting automated builds, test suites, and cloud deployments; and working with the product team in supporting customers.

We’re a distributed team working on a daily basis with colleagues in the UK, Europe and California. Many of the team are based around Dundee, and there may be a travel requirement, for instance for company meetups. Our focus, networks and ambitions are global as well as UK/Scottish.
The lawtech startup sector is growing rapidly, and offers exciting new opportunities for software companies and developers right now. We’re working with a number of UK and international firms, and we’ve participated in a number of lawtech incubator/accelerator programmes.
You’ll need a minimum of 2 years industry experience relevant to the areas below, and the self-starting energy and enthusiasm to grow with us as we build innovative products. It’s a busy work environment, but we ensure there’s hacktime (planned time to investigate and try out new things of interest), and online/face-to-face meetups.
YOU:
* Minimum 2 years relevant industry experience
* Strong JavaScript experience (not necessarily React)
* Applicable backend experience: Java, Python, Node.js etc
* Degree-level qualification in Computing or related discipline
* Energy and adaptability to thrive in an ambitious, growing team
* Experience of, or aspiration for, distributed (remote) working
