There’s something very satisfying about watching a job like this being made.

This is Craig, our litho printer, operating our Heidelberg foiling platen and applying gold foil to 270gsm GF Smith Colorplan.

It’s one of those processes where the finished result looks deceptively simple; but getting the pressure, temperature, registration and foil just right takes a fair bit of skill.

And, yes, we still love doing things the old-fashioned way when the job calls for it. 😉

Gold foil. Colorplan. A Heidelberg platen. And a very good printer behind it.

Sometimes, you just can’t beat the real thing.

It’s game day!🏒

Here’s Navid manning our digital press; printing raffle tickets we’ve produced for Solway Ice Hockey Club ahead of their first game of the season tonight.

Designed to approval by Navid, printed and numbered in one pass on pre-perforated sheets, which we perforated in two places on a bulk run through a Heidelberg GTO, before being trimmed & finished - a proper production job from start to finish!

We’re delighted to be associated with Solway IHC and proud to support them as they head into another season.

Some people become part of the fabric of a business… and that’s certainly true of Fiona.

After an incredible 37 years with Solway Print, Fiona is retiring. Throughout her career, she’s helped bring thousands of print projects to life with exceptional skill, patience and attention to detail. From complex pre-press work to helping clients turn ideas into beautifully printed reality, her knowledge has been invaluable.

More than that, she’s been a wonderful colleague and friend, and she’ll be greatly missed by everyone here.
