Are you involved in the management of your public certificates?

The lifecycle of public certificates is dropping following a vote last year at the CA/Browser Forum. These changes will bring about a safer and more secure certificate lifecycle, where revocation systems have relatively failed. This does drive automation of certificates forwards allowing a full calendar month and some wiggle room before a certificate expires.

‼️🚨Cloudflare Outage 🚨‼️

Cloudflare provide DNS and WAF (Web Application Firewall) services to huge amount of business globally. We have seen websites failing to load with a Cloudflare HTTP 500 error.

Latest update is that they are investigating the problem but are aware of widespread issues.

This is the latest outage that will have a far reaching impact to businesses protecting their websites and applications on Cloudflare’s network.

The Ubiquiti UniFi Building Bridge is a brilliant way to provide almost wire speed access between two buildings, up to 500m.

Last week this install was for a new office space being created. The installation was a very powerful UniFi UDR7, on the end of a 1Gbps FTTP internet access circuit. In the new office space is a PoE switch powering both the other end of the Building Bridge and a UniFi access-point. All supported and managed by the team at JGC IT Services.

For those eagle eyed amongst you, the Building Bridge was not synched at this point hence the green and red coloured LED ring. However, another brilliant feature of the UniFi range to clearly show its current state.
