We always love feedback, Following our sending out this couples previews the day after their special wedding day we received this feedback. We try so hard to make our couple journey with us be more than just taking photos, but an experience that falls deeper than just an online gallery.
We often describe working with us as an experience, opposed to a service. In this case yes of course we took many many photos, but its always so much more than that. Organising moments, setting up parts of the day to flow, and to lead when days need leading even in this case again Simons there fixing the broken dress again, ( Simons free emergency repair lasted all day on a very expensive dress that broke within 3 hours of putting it on šŸ„ŗ) . Huge advocates on working together with venue staff, Djs and all other suppliers there for the day we are always part of the team to keep things moving, be proactive in guiding our couples through the day, and being reactive when things are sliding a little off course. Its not just about the photos we provide, its how comfortable couples feel in the vulnerable moments in front of the camera, how you build the relationship with the guests, the banter, and everything that goes into creating a memorable experience for them all.

Q: What's the right transport to get to your wedding?
A: Does it matter to anyone but you?
We've shot lots of weddings in lots of locations, and had a variety of wedding transport options driven our way. While not everyone wants to take a Land rover to their wedding, Not everyone wants a helicopter either. Your wedding transport is something that can either be something you've always wanted, ( like a helicopter) or maybe it could be the exact Land rover that took your parents to their wedding all those years ago. While some may opt for DeLorean to match their 80s themed wedding, other may choose a VW camper to bring the bo-ho vibes. Whatever transport you decide for, don't base it on what others may think, Be more you! if you want an Aston Martin, Get an Aston Martin. But only the bravest hero's can pull off Gordon the golf cart!

Its your day, have it your way.

One of the main reasons we love working as a photography duo on a wedding day is so we can really build an album from multiple prospectives. As perfectly proved here as we watch our Dear grooms nerves, excitement and joy come together in a tearful and beautiful expression of emotion as his stunning bride to be comes down the aisle at the brilliant Solton Manor a month ago.
While Jodie shoots from upfront I generally hide right in the back ready for that powerful moment when the groom turns to see his bride fully dressed, looking her absolute best on the aisle that they shall marry upon.
As 2 very emotionally attached photographers we are generally the first ones to get emotional watching these love story's unfold on our couples wedding days. I'm sure being the ones stood the furthest away but with generally the best views we get to watch zoomed in, picking out the moments that hit the hardest for the final gallery. I love a crier! . I love when you can feel a photo opposed to just seeing it.

WE'RE MOOVING!
The eagle eyed in our followers, may see us starting to advertise our current studio very soon,
somethings comming.
Something new, something exciting, something BIGGER!
A couple of our fellow professionals may have heard ideas on whats comming over the past year while weve been thinking but keep it šŸ¤«.

What does that mean for all of our couples and friends of the studio?
Absolutly nothing.
Every wedding is perfectly secure, every shoot is on target, and every meeting is as planned.

So why the move?
For a long time weve been planning our next move, the next direction, and the next thing to be a part of. Something that gives our couples an even better experience, a smarter, posher space to call home.
While weve loved our studio, our space and our home, but Ive always wanted cleaner, shinier, parking, and to be a leader in something bigger. Well after a lot of planning, thoughts, and even some brilliant advice from a dear wedding friend of ours, weve decided now is the time.

Watch this space. (Ive said that as know Jo hates that phrase) its all a big secret for now. But its super exciting!

When is the right time to book your wedding photographer?

Valid question we hear a lot, we see a lot of "influencers" answer, but generally dont agree with them.

The averagel consensus seems to be about 12-14 months prior to your wedding.

So why dont we agree?
In August and September, we had to decline at least 10 wedding enquiries for dates in 2027 that we have been booked for for a long time.
This year id imagine we have had to decline at least 20 wedding photography enquiries for 2027 due to being already booked.
Thats a very good place to be in for us as a business, but not ideal for clients wanting us to be part of their big days.

Now as a business we never like to turn down bookings, we dont cancel current bookings for "more valuable" bookings, and we do value every one of our booked couples.
For 2027, 55 weddings are booked with us currently. For photography, videography or both.
Some are just Simon, Some are just Jodie, but amazingly Most are both of us booked together. (Clearly were better as a couple)

2027 is already set to be an amazing year for us,
Some changes on the horizon, and a very busy forecast.

2028 is already booking well. And even bookings for 2029!

We love that we can provide the security that booking well in advance with us is secure, safe, and reccommended. Never in my life did we imagine people would almost literally be fighting for dates with our little brand.
We always say no dates are booked until deposits are made, first to secure it gets it.

Anyway. 2028. Its the year to be booking. Lets do this!
