17 seconds vs. 17 days.
That statistic stopped us in our tracks.
According to the sample pack we received from Stannp, the average lifespan of an email is around 17 seconds, while a piece of direct mail can stay in a home for up to 17 days.
Whether those exact figures vary by industry, the principle is hard to ignore: physical marketing often has a much longer window to make an impression.
We're currently testing this for one of our clients.
Alongside their digital marketing, we've launched a targeted direct mail campaign designed to drive:
๐ More phone enquiries
๐ More website visits
๐ก More site visit bookings
Too often, businesses think in terms of digital OR print.
The strongest campaigns usually combine both.
A well-designed mailer landing on the doormat, backed by a clear website, strong branding, and an easy way to get in touch, can be a powerful combination.
Marketing isn't about using every channel.
It's about using the right channels together.
We'll be monitoring the results over the coming weeks and will share what we learn.
Have you seen direct mail work well alongside digital marketing in your business?
