Always fun to take a look at something new. Customer brought in a Sony DVD surround sound system that was tripping out the surge protect system. Found a blown capacitor on the Amplifier board , replaced and back to working order.

Nintendo switch arrived, no power, not charging! Very often this is a damaged charge port but not this time. Only taking 5V but should be 15V. Main charging chip had shorted out. Replaced and back to life.

Another PS5 in today for an HDMI port. So delicate on these consoles, so easily damaged. Strip down, remove, replace and clean. Good as new again.

Nice scooter repair job in. Damage to the side caps on the front wheel which led to the motor wires being scuffed and cut. Strip down, cut back the damaged wire and re solder to the motor. Caps back on and it’s good to go.

Nintendo switch day. New side rails fitted as Joycons were disconnecting. And a little flex cable replacement on a joycon to fix the top button.

iPhone screen repairs. Screens changed and TrueTone reprogrammed or recovered (if it wasn’t done with a previous screen replacement). Also iPhone 11 onwards will display a ‘Unknown part’ message if a generic screen is used. We transfer a chip from the old screen to the new one so there are no error messages. Please ask for more details if needed.

Something a little different to the norm. AMD computer processor , multiple bent pins and one snapped. Straightened the pins under the microscope and re soldered replacement pin. Photo next to a £1 coin for size comparison.
These must be inserted gently and straight or this happens!

PS4 Pro in today for servicing. Overheating and fans sounding like a jet engine. Fully stripped, heatsink cleaned along with the chassis internals, new thermal paste and reassembly. Now running cool and super quiet.
