Midwich is proud to be working with to help repurpose surplus AV equipment and put it into the hands of good causes that can make use of it.

With the support of the AV industry, Ian Morrish launched GivingBack.tech to provide a structured channel for organisations to donate excess or unwanted technology - helping valuable equipment stay in use for longer, supporting charities and community organisations, and reducing the amount of technology ending up in landfill.

It’s a simple idea that can make a meaningful difference: less waste, more reuse and greater impact.

On Friday, Tajmin Rahman, Georgia Ironmonger, and Ben Thompson visited Smiles House, home to Nelson's Journey, to recognise Midwich's fundraising efforts throughout 2025 and learn more about the impact of our continued support.

Midwich have proudly supported Nelson's Journey for over 10 years, doing our part to help the charity provide vital support to bereaved children and young people across Norfolk.

Thank you to Gary Stevens for welcoming us to Smiles House and sharing more about the amazing work the charity continues to deliver.

Huge congratulations to Hayden Newell, Senior Lead LED Engineer at PSCo, for being recognised as our Employee of the Month for August! 👏

Hayden has shown incredible dedication, leading the engineering team through a demanding high-profile project involving extensive overnight work and long shifts for nearly two months. His technical expertise, leadership and commitment have been instrumental in delivering the project to a high standard - a very well-deserved recognition.

Last night, our annual Midwich Quiz Night returned to The Corn Hall Diss, with 19 teams going head-to-head across a series of rounds to see who would take the 2026 title! 🏆

With fantastic food from The Noodle & Dumpling Bar, drinks flowing and plenty of friendly competition, it was a brilliant evening from start to finish.

Together we raised an incredible £3,190!👏 A huge thank you to everyone who took part, donated and helped make the evening such a success. We’d also like to say a massive thank you to our sponsors for their generous support:

We’re pleased to have donated a Philips AOC International Europe B.V. monitor to East Anglian Air Ambulance, a charity Midwich has supported for over a decade. 💛

The screen will be used in one of EAAA’s four learning pods at events. The pods show visitors what happens from the moment a call reaches the control room to the dispatch of a helicopter or critical care car.

Congratulations to Karl Wright on reaching the incredible milestone of 50 runs with Harvey's Run Club! 🏃‍♂️🎉

Since the club launched in July 2025, Karl has missed just seven sessions, a remarkable achievement that reflects his dedication, consistency, and determination. Rain or shine, he's continued to show up week after week, setting a great example for those around him.

We’re proud to have signed Norfolk Fire & Rescue Service’s new On-Call Employers Charter. 🚒

On-call firefighters play a vital role in protecting our local communities, and employers can make a real difference by giving them the flexibility to respond when needed.

Here at Midwich, we’re especially proud of our colleague Dan Rogers (pictured), who serves as an on-call firefighter alongside his role with us.

Our HR Manager, Lesa Orford, was joined by Chris Marlow, Station Manager to mark the signing and celebrate our commitment to supporting Dan and the incredible work of on-call firefighters across Norfolk.

𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗱. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗱. ⛰️ ✅

After months of preparation, our team joined forces with colleagues from Nimans to take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge and what an achievement it was!

In just 11 hours and 1 minute, the team conquered all three peaks, clocked up more than 50,000 steps, and raised an incredible £5,000+ for charity. Thank you to everyone who donated and supported the team.
