Council Tax bills are dropping through letterboxes in the UK this month. They're usually accompanied by a leaflet detailing where the money goes. Here's a K-Design designed one from last year.

This year, to save money on print and postage, Oxford City Council asked K-Design to communicate the key points on the back of their bill in black and white only. Often, brevity is more effective, and more memorable, than reams of information.

K-Design have been busy providing graphics and working with Mojo Media to give Rally the Globe's website a brand new look.

The site now packs a punch with stunning photos from Gerard Brown and action-packed videos from Sharp Films.

Drawn point-by-point in Adobe Illustrator, K-Design's calendar this year features one of the iconic sites of Oxford. The University's Radcliffe Camera was completed in 1749 to house a Science Library and was funded by the estate of John Radcliffe, a physician who started life in Wakefield, Yorkshire.

310 years after his death, Radcliffe still has quite a presence in Oxford, with the main hospital - the John Radcliffe in Headington - the Radcliffe Observatory (with the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter currently being developed around it), and the former Radcliffe Infirmary all carrying his name.

HOUSMANS BOOKSTORE published their first Peace Diary in 1954, at the height of the Cold War. This year, for the 71st edition, the eye-catching cover was designed here at K-Design.

With Gaza and Ukraine Wars taking up the news and ongoing conflicts in Sudan, Myanmar and Syria, amongst others, the need for peace and peace organisations remains.

2023 turned out to be a busy year for K-Design, including some interesting local authority projects.

It started early with a revised Oxford Council Tax leaflet, quickly followed by ODS's recycling and waste collection calendar.

The summer and autumn were taken up with two Local Plans, outlining planning policies and housing requirements up to the year 2040 - sample pages shown here.

Winter brings both the excitement of Christmas and dark nights. Working with the local authority and other organisations, K-Design recently created these two posters to help Oxford get set for both.
