Family.
Friends.
The people I love most.
The people who make the ordinary moments feel anything but ordinary.

This is what I’m working for.

A life that feels full.
A life that feels free.
A life built on my own terms.

Building my business.
Creating opportunities.
Backing myself.
And learning that I don’t have to wait for the “perfect” time to start creating the life I want.

To every young woman building something of her own.
Keep going.
Take the risk.

One of the things I love most about being a content creator is that no two days are ever the same.

One day I’m filming a dog being a ring bearer at a wedding, the next I’m filming in a gym and another day I get to capture something as simple and special as a birthday celebration.

Working in content means I get to step into so many completely different worlds and tell so many different stories and I think moments like this are a perfect reminder of just how lucky I am to do what I do.

Being able to capture this little birthday for one of the dogs at the daycare, while also being there to celebrate with them, feels extra special.

They don’t get as many birthdays and milestones as we do, so being able to document these moments, give them cuddles, celebrate with them and be loved by them is something I’ll never take for granted 🥹🤍
It’s the little moments like this that remind me how much I love being a content creator.

Getting to experience so many different lines of work, meet so many different people (and dogs) and be trusted to capture moments that actually mean something.

And of course, what better way to celebrate a birthday than bringing treats in to share with all your friends?!

Very grateful that this is my job and a big happy birthday woods, you will always be our sheriff 🤍

This week, my “team” looked a little different…

When you work for yourself, it’s so easy to spend your days behind a screen, constantly creating, planning, replying and pushing towards the next goal.

But sometimes the best thing you can do for your business is step away from it.

Get outside.
Take a breath.
Walk somewhere green.
Spend time with animals.
Notice the little things.

As a young woman building my own business, I’m learning that success isn’t just about how much you can achieve, it’s also about looking after the person who is doing the achieving.

You don’t have to be switched on 24/7 to be ambitious.

You don’t have to sacrifice your wellbeing to prove you’re serious about your dreams.

Go outside.
Take the dog for a walk.
Touch some grass.
Let your brain breathe.

Then come back to your business with a clearer mind, fresh ideas and a little more energy.

Build the business.
Chase the dream.
But don’t forget to live your life along the way. 🤍

The reason I love what I do? 🌸✨

People often think my job is all about being out with a camera but the reality is that around 95% of my time is spent behind a computer: editing, creating, planning and bringing stories to life.

But it’s that other 5% that reminds me exactly why I do it.

Being surrounded by colourful flowers, fresh air and nature has a way of resetting everything.

Swapping busy offices and screens for peaceful landscapes (and occasionally replacing humans with my furry friends at doggy daycare 🐾) is the perfect reminder to slow down, appreciate the little things and come back inspired.

It’s these moments that fuel my creativity and help me create visuals that truly connect.

Running your own business isn’t always as glamorous as social media makes it look.

The long days, early mornings, late nights… and somewhere in between, you realise it’s 3pm and you’ve either forgotten to eat or you’ve grabbed yet another meal deal because it’s quick 🙈

I was definitely guilty of that!

Over the past few months, I’ve made a conscious effort to put my health first.

I’ve started making yoghurt bowls, experimenting with different toppings, trying chia seed pudding and finding healthier meals that actually fuel me through busy days and are really quick to make.

As a young woman running my own business at nearly 20 years old, I’ve realised that looking after yourself isn’t a luxury, it’s part of being successful.

You can’t pour into your business, your clients and your goals if you’re constantly running on empty.

It’s still a work in progress, but I’m proud of the healthier habits I’m building.

Here’s to nourishing ourselves just as much as we nourish our dreams 🤍✨

Because the bloopers are always the best part 😂🤍

Not every clip makes the final edit... and honestly, we’re glad they don’t.

From uncontrollable laughter and forgotten poses to the moments that definitely weren’t part of the plan, these are the memories that make the day even more special.

Sometimes it’s the perfectly imperfect moments that tell the best story.

Here’s to celebrating 40 with plenty of laughs, lots of love and a camera roll full of outtakes we’ll be watching for years to come.

40 looks pretty amazing ✨🤍

From a Bridgerton inspired, Instagram worthy table set up with the girls and a Hugo spritz to coffee, pastries, a countryside dog walk and even a little swim for the little pooch, every moment was a reminder that the best celebrations are the ones spent with the people you love most.

It wasn’t about one big party, it was about making memories throughout the day, laughing until our cheeks hurt, enjoying the simple moments and celebrating an incredible woman who deserves it all.

Here’s to 40 years of love, laughter, kindness and making every moment count.

Happy Birthday, Mum. We love you more than words can say 🤍
