This is a very sorry state of affairs. Customer dropped in this hard drive after he had sent it off for data recovery. He got it back and was charged £900! With no data! Wrong screws in it, dust all over the platters where it has been opened on a desk instead of inside a filtration units, gauges along the screw holes, broken traces and has been rendered pretty much useless. Deplorable behaviour. Sadly we see people or hear about people being “conned” on a weekly basis.

Number 5 out of 17 - 400ft super 8 Cine film reels. They have all been cleaned by hand and are now being digitised. Picture quality is quite remarkable for the period - 1983 in this case. Even more incredible that each “picture” is about 5.7 x 4mm. Yup millimetres! Back in the day you would run the film through a projector and running at 18 frames (pictures) a second the individual pictures move. So the Super 8 cameras back in 1965 and onwards took 18 pictures every second. Fantastic technology. Before that there was Regular 8 an even smaller image starting around 1932 that ran at the same speed!

Audio day yesterday during our Easter Break. Reel to reel tapes and cassette tapes all being digitised for playback via a USB stick. They all sound pretty good despite the age, especially the open reel to reel tapes.
