Keeping kids safe online can be challenging. One way to help is to join them online. Be their number one follower/friend and join them on online games. Just remember to try and be cool and not be a helicopter 😊

When I get a friend request on Instagram and Facebook, I normally check if they are friends of my friends or see if any of my friends are following them. I
I have accepted friend requests from people I personally did not know only to block them almost immediately because of unsolicited comments.

Don’t expect our children to do the same. They pride themselves in having tons of friends/followers, likes and positive comments. This is the world we now live in.

Let’s help our kids stay safe online.

I totally understand.

Being in IT for nearly 30 years has been a huge advantage for me, however, I believe that you do not have to be technically savvy to use technology to keep your kids safe online. Let me show you in simple ways.
