All the snow has gone, and the dehumidifier has kicked in - this means the church has warmed up a little (to 6 degrees).

I'm open as normal from this morning 😎

9th January: I've just popped in to the Church - the dehumidifier is still in a bad mood, and the inside temperature is 3.
More importantly, the whole area in front of the church is like an ice rink, and the pavement and street are sheet ice - it's not safe for anyone except skaters, so the shop will remain closed.

Update for 7th January. The shop is still closed. The dehumidifier is still sulking, and there's a laptop with a flat battery and it still won't turn on because the battery won't charge. There's no point me being in there 🥶

I doubt there will be many people coming to see me in the shop today - and it seems a shame to spoil the pristine snow at the front...
Even the dehumidifier is refusing to work since it's 2 degrees inside the church and I am struggling to charge iPads, so I am closing the shop. 🥶
If you need me please call the shop number 01779-813330 as I have access to that from home. I can do plenty online, and I can be here in less than 30 seconds if need be.

Simple advice, don’t get involved in conversations with complete strangers.
If you receive text messages out of the blue, report them by noting the contact details, forwarding the message to 7726, which usually follows up with a request for the number or address. Then deleting the message.

Scammers are using texts that appear to have been sent to a wrong number to get targets to engage in a conversation.

The shop will be closed next week, between the 31st of March and the 3rd of April, and will re-open on Friday the 4th of April at 9am.
