This MS Awareness Week, we want to encourage people to . 🧡

You might not feel comfortable to challenge people’s misconceptions.

But we want people to feel more confident to speak up.

Our ‘I have MS’ card is a free, credit card-sized card explaining that you have MS and might need wheelchair or toilet access.

It also helps explain how MS might affect you. 💬

The 16th December 2011 is always a special day for me because i qualified with my first guide dog after walking in the snow for 1 hour for my qualification walk, he gave me back the independence and confidence that sight loss takes away from you. He hated shopping but would put his harness on and work all day happily for 3 years but then did not want to work anymore. It is the guide dog that chooses to work or not and they are not forced to work if they don't want to anymore, my second dog had to be withdrawn after only working him for 6months. It was 10 years last week I was matched with my dog Yazz that I worked for 7 years before she retired in 2022 due to health issues.

As I am writing this I have been on the waiting list for 3 years and 3 months and I am still waiting for a new dog. I know they are working hard to reduce the waiting list but have not found a dog suitable to match my requirements. oun hird
