We’ve joined the Association of Fencing Industries (AFI).

The AFI works to improve safety, standards and training across the fencing industry, while helping members stay up to date with regulation changes.

For us, this is about staying closer to the environments our systems are installed into every day. From perimeter security and automated gates through to the wider demands around access control, that understanding helps us continue developing solutions that reduce unnecessary complications and support smoother installs.

You asked for a finish that works across more installs, so we’ve made the change.

From the 1st May, Optimus intercoms began shipping with black back boxes as standard, as stock transitions from anthracite grey.

Nothing else is changing. The same straightforward setup, the same dependable performance on site, and the same support behind it; just a finish that’s easier to work into more environments.

Optimus remains available through our distribution network; speak with your usual supplier for details.

Mental wellbeing can be easily overlooked, especially when you’re moving between sites, working to deadlines, or managing issues as they come in.

This year’s theme is action. Not big changes, but simple actions that can be built into the working day:

Take a pause between jobs

Take regular screen breaks

Check in with someone when working alone

Be clear on when the day ends, especially when things overrun

If something feels off, don’t leave it sitting. A message or call to a trusted person can help.

Setting up SMS command buttons for users just got easier.

You can now share your button configuration from the Commtel CONFIG app using a simple share code. Name the buttons, generate the code, and the user can import everything straight into their Commtel CONTROL app.

Less explaining. Less re-setting. Cleaner handover on site.
