OXAGON are hiring: 2 x Digital Infrastructure & Field Support Technicians
Location: London / Greater London
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000+ per year (plus overtime)
As part of OXAGON Ltd’s nationwide expansion, we are looking for two skilled, learning-driven Digital Infrastructure & Field Support Technicians to join our team.
In this role, you will work on internal fibre and copper cabling and wider telecommunications infrastructure. You will be responsible for installing, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fibre optic and copper systems, including fibre splicing, equipment rack installations, and network commissioning. A strong commitment to quality, company procedures, and health & safety standards is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
Installing and maintaining internal fibre cabling, including fibre splicing
Testing and diagnostics using specialist network testing equipment
Copper cabling: termination, testing, commissioning, and fault-finding
Installation and commissioning of telecommunications equipment and racks in comms rooms/data centres
Ensuring full compliance with HSE and site safety requirements
Routine maintenance, documentation, and service reporting
Working closely with network engineering and project management teams
Travelling to various customer sites (valid driving licence required)
About you:
Proven experience with fibre cabling and splicing in a telecoms environment
Confident using specialist testing and diagnostic equipment
Familiar with telecoms infrastructure, fibre networks, and cable management
Able to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Comfortable using laptops/tablets for diagnostics and documentation
Detail-oriented, proactive problem-solver, with strong communication skills
Physically fit and comfortable working in comms rooms, data centres, and occasionally outdoors or in confined spaces
Able to work independently and as part of a team
