We’re excited to welcome Chloe to SLT Media this month as part of the Warwick Enterprise Micro-Internships Programme. 🌟

Chloe will be supporting us with a focused research project exploring marketing for UK construction businesses and trades, including builders, plumbers, electricians, decorators and other hands-on businesses.

The project will help us look more closely at what trades businesses currently do for marketing, what challenges they face, what support they actually need, and how we can shape a practical offer that makes sense for busy business owners.

We met Chloe on Monday at The Climb and instantly felt very lucky to have her assigned to us. She is friendly, thoughtful and already bringing great energy to the project.

A big thank you to Warwick Enterprise, Warwick Innovation District and Simon for making this opportunity possible.

We’re looking forward to getting started and sharing what we learn along the way. 💚

Today is International Children’s Day, so we thought we’d introduce you to the tiny versions of the people behind SLT Media. 😄

The ones who now manage social media pages, design brands, build websites, advise businesses and attend networking events.

A lot has changed since these photos were taken, but days like this are a nice reminder that every business owner, client, designer, developer, accountant, lawyer, builder, consultant or founder was once just a small person with no idea where life would take them next.

Happy International Children’s Day from SLT Media. 💚

And now the important question: who do you think changed the least? 😄

Is your LinkedIn profile helping people understand what you do?

And maybe more importantly now… is it helping AI understand what you do too? 🤖

LinkedIn is no longer just a place for networking. Search engines, AI tools and LLMs may also use it as one of the signals to understand who you are, what you do and what topics you should be connected with.

That does not mean your profile should sound robotic.
It means it should be clear.

Here’s a quick checklist:

1️⃣ Make your headline specific
Say what you do, who you help and where your expertise sits. Clever is nice, but clear is usually better.

2️⃣ Use the first lines of your About section wisely
People should understand quickly who you are and why they should connect you with a specific topic.

3️⃣ Show the problems you solve
Your experience section should not only list roles. Add what you help with, who you work with and what outcomes you are known for.

4️⃣ Add LinkedIn articles to your visibility strategy
From an LLM point of view, articles can give more context than short posts. They help connect you with specific topics and expertise so it is one of the most cited sources when it comes to B2B in LLMs.

5️⃣ Use personal and company pages differently
Your personal profile can build trust in you as the expert. Your company page builds trust in the business. Both matter, but they do different jobs.

6️⃣ Connect the dots with links
Add your website, company page, case studies, articles, projects or other relevant profiles. Make it easy for people to understand your wider online presence.

7️⃣ Don’t hide too much
If your LinkedIn profile is very private, you may be hiding not only from people, but also from tools that could understand and recommend you.

Clear profiles help humans.
And increasingly, they help AI too.

At SLT Media, we help businesses improve their online presence, content and visibility in a way that makes sense for both people and modern search behaviour.

The trend has been doing the rounds recently, so we thought it was a good excuse to open our own archive too. 👀

This time, it’s all about Natalia - our graphic designer - and a selection of logos she picked as some of her favourites from the projects she’s worked on.

And this is the funny thing about design: everyone in the team has their own favourites.

Sometimes we agree.
Sometimes we absolutely don’t. 😄

One person loves the clean, minimal one. Someone else prefers the bold concept. Another person remembers the brief, the challenge, the client reaction, or that one tiny detail that made the whole logo finally click.

But that’s what makes branding work so interesting. A logo is not just a “nice mark”. It has to carry a business idea, fit the industry, work in different formats, and still feel like something the client can proudly use for years.

Looking through this selection is also a lovely reminder of how many different businesses we’ve had the chance to support - from beauty, finance and property to food, construction, retail and professional services.

A little archive moment for Natalia and her work. 🖤

Which one would you pick?

On 30th May, Paulina will be taking on a 60km walk for Mind Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire as part of the 60 for 60 campaign. 💙

And yes… 60km. On foot. In one day. We did check. 😅

The route will take her through Tamworth, Nuneaton, Bedworth and Coventry, so if you’d like to join her for part of the walk, you are very welcome. You don’t need to commit to the full distance - even joining for a shorter section would be a lovely show of support.

We’ll also make it a little more fun along the way. For every donation milestone, Paulina will take on a small challenge during the walk:

£5 - public thank-you in our walk update, with your name or business name tagged if possible
£10 - one kilometre dedicated to you, your business, or someone you’d like to honour
£20 - a painted stone with your logo, initials or message, left somewhere along the route
£50 - a short thank-you video from the route for you or your business
£100 - your brand walks with Paulina for part of the route, in the form of a badge, sticker or small branded item

As SLT Media, we’re already supporting the 60 for 60 campaign with marketing, but this is a more personal challenge from Paulina to help raise awareness and funds for local mental health support across our region.

https://www.justgiving.com/page/slt-media-60-for-60 - Any donation, share or bit of moral support will mean a lot.

For now, we’re just putting it out there publicly so she can’t quietly change her mind. 👟✨

Here’s a lovely little throwback from the wild. 👀

We spotted one of our older logo designs still doing its job beautifully, and honestly, it is ageing gracefully, isn’t it?

This logo was created for Łasuch Cakes, a Polish cake and dessert brand you can spot in Polish shops around England. Their products bring a little taste of home to customers looking for traditional Polish-style cakes, sweet pastries and treats.

And the name? “Łasuch” is a Polish word for someone who loves sweets. Basically, a sweet tooth. Very fitting for a cake brand. 😄

What we still like about this logo is that it has stayed recognisable, clear and charming after a few years. That is always the goal with branding. Not just to create something that looks nice today, but something that can keep working on shelves, packaging, labels and real products long after the first design files are sent.

Good branding should not need to shout to be noticed. Sometimes it just needs to sit confidently on a cake box and make people think, “Oh yes, I know this one.”

Always lovely to see our work out and about. 🍰

Monday morning at SLT Media and our graphic design department is already under strict supervision. 🐾

Don’t worry though - if you’re allergic to cats, you’re safe with us. Thankfully, fur doesn’t travel through pixels. 😄

Today’s agenda: websites, graphics, client projects, probably too much coffee, and one very serious fluffy quality-control manager making sure everything is ready for the week ahead.

Happy Monday from our team - and from the unofficial SLT Media cat department. 💻✨

On Wednesday, we attended the Opoka CIO First National Conference in Bristol.

As Opoka’s long-term supporters, this event was important to us not only because we work with them, but because we understand how much clear, accessible and culturally sensitive communication matters in their field.

At SLT Media, we support Opoka with social media on a pro bono basis, and we also did their branding, printed materials and wider marketing communication. Our role is to help make important information easier to reach, easier to understand and easier to share with the people who may need it most.

The conference brought together professionals, community organisations, supporters and people working around domestic abuse awareness and support. It was a valuable opportunity to listen, learn and better understand the context behind the work we help communicate online.

For us, marketing is not only about visibility. Sometimes it is about making sure the right message reaches the right person at the right time.

Thank you to Opoka CIO for inviting us and for the vital work you continue to do. It was a privilege to be there and to support the organisation behind the scenes.

Another lovely review has landed, and this one made us smile. 😊

We’ve recently finished a new website for Agata and the London-based clinic she works in, so it was great to hear that the site already feels clearer, easier to use and more supportive for their clients.

Full reveal to follow soon… 👀

Reviews like this mean a lot, but they’re also a useful reminder for every business. People can love your service, recommend you in conversation and come back again, but if that experience is not visible online, a big part of your trust-building is missing.

For many potential customers, reviews are the deciding factor.

They want to know:
⭐ Can I trust this company?
⭐ Have other people had a good experience?
⭐ Does the business deliver what it promises?
⭐ Will I feel looked after?

That’s why collecting reviews should not be something you do once in a while when you remember. It should be part of your customer journey, especially after a successful project, appointment or purchase.

And yes, sometimes it feels awkward to ask. We get it.

But if your clients are happy, most of them are glad to support you. They just need a simple reminder and an easy link (ours is in the first comment!)

Thank you, Agata, for your kind words. We’re so pleased we could support you, and we can’t wait to share the finished website properly soon. 💙

Another project we’re excited to share 👀

This is the logo we created for CHADFUEL - a bold new brand of supplements!

What makes this one even more special is that this client first came to us for a smaller job… and then came back for more. And honestly, that is always one of the best compliments a business like ours can get.

It means the first experience felt right.
It means trust was built.
And it often means we get to do what we love most - help shape a brand further as it grows.

For CHADFUEL, the brief gave us a strong starting point:
🔹 performance-focused product
🔹 bold energy
🔹 packaging with impact
🔹 flexibility to refine colours and overall direction

The result is a logo that feels confident, distinctive and ready to sit on product packaging.

And we’re not stopping here - now that the logo is ready, we’ll be moving on to the packaging design next, which is always an exciting stage because that’s when the brand really starts to come to life.

Sometimes a “small job” is just the beginning.

More to come soon. 💜

If you’re starting with one piece of branding now but know you may want to build it out later, that’s absolutely fine. We can help create something that gives you a strong foundation from the start.
