As many owners of electrostatic speakers will know, sometimes humidity can cause our beloved speakers to missbehave. Lesser known is the differences in UK mains voltages. Yes, we are all 'supposed' to be on 230V now but this is by now way the norm. Mains voltages of up to 250V is not uncommon and if you think that firstly, on the ESL57, Your mains voltage is increased to 600V, and thats before it hurtles up to the 6000V required for the bass panels!...

One of our customers brought to is some ESL63 type panels which they had tried to service themselves. Although they obviously had an understanding of what the normal issues are with these speakers (stator detachement) they now realise how involved the process is and how critical the application is.

The latest version of our ESL57 complete replacement power supply/HT unit.

We are pleased to announce that we are able to produce some more of the boards that we have been waiting for components for. The global supply issues that so many manufactures have been struggling with have hampered production of standard boards for 57s and 63s, have meant that until now we have not been able to produce them. One_thing_audio_uk on ebay is the current place to order boards but we will be moving towards direct supply via our website in the coming months. So watch this space.

We at One Thing are very sorry to tell our customers that one of our founders, and my brother Steve is now in Myton hospice Coventry. Her had been a fountain of audio knowledge over the years and as his youngest brother, and only remaining sibling, intend to carry on with his business and hope that we can provide the level of service, knowledge and respect that he had.
