Honest question. When did you last look at your own website?

Loads of the sites I review are frozen in time. Old prices. Summer hours. A "news" page last updated in 2022. A contact form that goes to an email nobody checks.

It's not laziness. It's just that websites are a pain to update, so they don't get updated.

I build simple, good-looking websites for Cornish businesses that you can actually keep on top of. Six pages, live within a fortnight, Β£900. Plus an optional Β£35 a month and I'll keep it fresh for you.

Not sure if yours needs work? I'll do a free 20-minute review and tell you straight.

Quick one for anyone with Google or TripAdvisor reviews.

People read your replies. Not just the review, the reply. It's how they decide whether you're the sort of place that cares.

But writing a thoughtful reply to 40 reviews at the end of the season? Nobody's got the energy.

Here's the shortcut. Give AI the review, a line about your business and how you like to sound. It drafts a warm, personal reply in seconds. You tweak a word or two and post it.

Half an hour with a cuppa and your whole summer's worth of reviews is done.

Want a hand setting it up so it sounds like you, not a robot?

The season's turned. The car parks are emptier, the lanes are quieter, and for a lot of Cornish businesses the madness of summer has finally stopped.

This is the bit nobody talks about. The quiet months are when you get to fix the things that drove you mad in August.

The enquiries that sat unanswered for three days. The bookings scribbled on the back of an envelope. The reviews you never got round to replying to.

You'll never have time to sort them in July. You've got time now.

If you want to go into next season with things running properly, let's spend an hour mapping out what to fix first.

Sunday thought.

A year ago my Sunday evenings looked the same every week. Laptop open, planning the week, chasing loose ends, writing posts I didn't want to write.

Now a lot of that just happens. The posts are drafted. The follow-ups are lined up. The week's mostly mapped out before I sit down.

I still work hard. But I don't spend my Sundays doing things a tool can do better.

What's the one job you'd hand over tomorrow if you could? Tell me below. I might just know a way. 😊

A little Saturday freebie.

If your head's full of half-finished jobs, try this. Open ChatGPT or Claude, paste the prompt below, then dump everything that's on your mind underneath it. Messy is fine.

"Here's everything on my plate. Sort it into: do today, do this week, and can wait. Keep it short, and flag anything that looks urgent."

That's it. Two minutes and you've got a proper list instead of a fog.

Give it a go and tell me how you got on. πŸ‘‡

Let's be honest about AI for a minute.

It won't run your business. It won't magically find you customers. And anyone promising you'll be making thousands in 90 days by letting a robot do your Instagram is selling something.

What it will do is take the boring, repetitive bits off your plate. The emails you write ten times a week. The descriptions. The admin that sits there making you feel guilty.

That's where the time comes back. Not in some big dramatic way. In an hour here, an hour there, every single week.

If you're curious but a bit wary, good. That's the right place to start.

My beginner's guide, AI Without the Hype, is written for exactly that person. Plain English, no jargon, Β£9.99.

Quick question for the trades.

How many jobs have you lost because you meant to ring someone back and didn't?

Not because you didn't care. Because you were up a ladder, then on the next job, then it was Friday and the scrap of paper with their number was somewhere in the van.

It happens to everyone. And it's usually the most expensive mistake in a small business, because that customer just goes with whoever answered first.

I've been building simple systems that fix this. Every enquiry lands in one place. You get a nudge when someone's waiting. Quotes get followed up without you having to remember.

Nothing fancy. Just fewer jobs slipping through the cracks.

Fancy a chat about how it could work for you?

Holiday let owners, this one's for you.

The season's winding down, but the messages never quite stop. Wi-fi codes. Early check-in. "Is there parking?" (It says so in the listing. Three times.)

None of it is hard. It just eats your evenings.

Here's what I'd do. Set AI up once with your property details, house rules and the tone you like, and it drafts a friendly, accurate reply to almost any guest message in seconds. You read it, hit send, and get your evening back.

My Holiday Let AI Toolkit has the exact prompts to do it, plus ones for reviews, listings and awkward requests. Β£29, yours to keep.

Confession: I used to hate posting on social media for my business.

Not because I had nothing to say. Because it was always the job that got pushed to tomorrow. Then next week. Then never.

So I built myself a little assistant. Every Friday it drafts the following week's posts, makes the graphics, and lines everything up for me to check. I read it with a cuppa, tweak a few words so it sounds like me, and it's done.

Twenty minutes. A full week sorted.

You don't need to be techy to have something like this. You just need someone to set it up properly the first time, so it learns how you talk and what you sell.

If posting is the job you keep putting off, let's fix that.

I set up a small online shop recently. From a blank page to taking real payments in a weekend.

No developer. No agency. No three-month project that never quite gets finished.

I mention it because I hear the same thing from so many Cornish businesses: "I keep meaning to sell online, but it feels like a mountain."

It used to be. Product descriptions, photos, pricing pages, the checkout, the boring legal bits at the bottom. That's where most people stall.

Now I use AI to do the heavy lifting on all of that, and I spend my time on the parts that need a human. Like deciding what to sell and what to charge.

If you've got something people already ask you for (gift vouchers, a printable guide, a workshop place, local produce) there's a good chance it could be selling while you sleep.

Want to see if yours could work? Book an hour with me and we'll map it out together. No daft questions.
