Happy Sunday everyone! 😊

Hope you’re all having a good weekend. I’ve spent the day catching up on admin and will be jumping straight into Ableton to finish another track once this post is up.

Booking update:

All November slots are now fully booked. There are still a handful of spaces left in December: once those go, I’m fully booked for the rest of 2026.

Important reminder:

Once you’ve chosen a booking slot and paid the deposit, please complete the booking information form as soon as possible. The instructions on the website are very straightforward, yet I’m still receiving bookings where the form hasn’t been filled in. This step is essential, please don’t skip it!

Important change from January 2027:

I will no longer be offering APC courier collection or return delivery from January.

I’ve organised courier collection and return since day one, but the number of issues has become unsustainable. Over the years I’ve received turntables in poor packaging, tatty original boxes, bin bags (yes bin bags!) , flight cases with no protection for tonearms, counterweights, 45 adapters or power cables.

I later restricted APC collection to customers using Pimp My Decks or MasterSounds purpose-made boxes in the hope this would solve the problem. Unfortunately it didn’t. I continued to receive decks where the foam had been removed or cut, cables were routed incorrectly, and again nothing secured correctly.

Recently a customer told me they would be using the correct purpose-made packaging, then sent their decks in unlocked, rusty flight cases with no internal protection. Both arrived damaged, followed by the usual claim that they “weren’t like that when they left.”. This also left me with a hub fine by the couriers due to packaging weights which the customer refused to accept or pay.

I’ve tried hard over the years to make courier logistics easier for all UK customers, but too many people either ignore the packaging instructions or simply don’t follow them properly. Enough is enough.

From January I’ll only be accepting drop-off / collection by arrangement unless those booking wish to organise their own courier collection and return delivery.

This one turned out rather lovely!! 😍

I teamed up with my good friend Sam over at Pimp My Decks on this 1200 for the plinth and tonearm respray plus platter refurbishment.

Once the cosmetics were ready to rock, it was my job to complete the service work required and get everything back up and running to a high standard.

We have new tonearm bearings, central support, rest clips, S bend tube, tonearm wiring, genuine pitch trim, shading cloth, pitch felt, lighting upgrades etc etc..

Then we have the mainboard service including a reflow, fresh thermal paste, capacitor replacements, a handful of resistors, plus not forgetting the replacement pitch slider after finding a polish coin wedged into the originals housing 😂

I'm extremely happy with the finished results, what do you guys think?

Technics SL-1200/1210 Layered aluminium printed badges

Updated design and print technology for 2026 (in a league of their own when compared to the original badges I created many years ago)

Black and white badges are readily available for dispatch, options to change colours and FULL custom designs are also all possible 👍
