Here we have a pair of freshly rebuilt MK2 tonearm assemblies (completed as part of a turntable service + deep clean)

Fully stripped, extensive deep clean of all components and freshly greased adjustment threads, on top of my standard service offerings I have also completed a full bearing replacement and upgraded the internal tonearm wiring + audio PCBs for the cleanest connection possible.

How long did all of this work take me to complete?...,.. battle commenced at 8am Friday morning and both were finalised ready to be secured back within their plinths by 6pm the same day.

I take great pride in my work, no job is ever hurried or rushed and this is exactly what these turntables deserve.

Right then, it's time to pull my finger out and start uploading finished customer projects over the last 5 months (mountains of photos to go through!)

I might actually create a dedicated page on the website showcasing my completed customer bookings and also included a breakdown as to what was completed too.

Here we have a pair of MK2s which arrived in a very poorly state, plenty of battle scars, internal issues and were pretty much dedicated paperweights requiring a LOT of work!

After looking over both turntables with my customer, I noted the immediate issues and proceeded to discuss the fun part.... Cosmetics. Starting with a full strip down of each plinth for the smoothest possible media application.

Custom printed blood splatter vinyl which I printed myself using my trusty Roland machine, the media was then sealed with clear laminate to further protect the print, then positioned and hand cut using surgical blades (no machine cutting)

This was a very time consuming project, but I'm extremely happy with the end results! One very happy Technics owner too!
