How much should a professional logo actually cost? 🤔

£50? £500? £5,000?!

The answer is... potentially any of them. Helpful, I know. 😂

Logo design prices vary massively, but you're not always comparing like with like. A DIY logo, a bespoke design from an experienced designer and a full agency branding project are very different things.

So I've put together a new guide explaining what logo design costs in the UK, why prices vary and what you should actually be getting for your money.

I've had a little run on presentation folders lately! 📁

They're a really handy option if you regularly send out information that changes – simply keep the folder and update the individual inserts as and when you need to.

I can take care of the folder design and print, along with any matching inserts, leaflets or information sheets to go inside.

Who said print was dead? 👀

With so much marketing happening online these days, it's easy to forget that sometimes a good old-fashioned leaflet is still exactly what you need!

Whether they're being handed out, popped through letterboxes, included with orders or used by a sales team, leaflets are a simple way of getting your services, products and contact details directly into someone's hands.

Here are a few I've recently designed and printed for clients in completely different industries – from caravans and glazing to commercial equipment and cuddly bears! 🧸

A few lovely new pieces of print recently designed and produced for Little Peek Baby Ultrasound 🥰

Emma wanted everything to feel consistent with the Little Peek brand, so I created a A5 presentation folder, matching printed envelopes and these handy little Google review cards, complete with a QR code taking clients straight to her review page. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I've worked with Emma on all sorts over the past couple of years – from her website and ongoing updates to design and print – so it's always nice to add another few pieces to the Little Peek collection. 😊

⚠️ Another warning I'm afraid... please stay vigilant! ⚠️

As if the WordPress security issues this week weren't enough, a number of my clients have today received fraudulent emails pretending to be from Design FX Studio.

The sender is using the following fake email address:

❌ hello.designfxstudio.co.uk

This is NOT my email address. Any emails received from this address are fraudulent.

The email also requests payment in US dollars ($100) - another clear sign it's a scam, as I'm a UK business and would never invoice clients in dollars.

Please do not reply, click any links or open any attachments.

If you're using Gmail, please report it as phishing (using the three dots menu or by right-clicking the email, depending on your version of Gmail). I'd also really appreciate it if you could forward it to me so I can continue reporting it.

It's certainly been one of those weeks! 😵‍💫😫

If you own a WordPress website, it's worth making yourself aware of the recent critical security vulnerability affecting WordPress, tracked as CVE-2026-63030 (also known as "wp2shell").

This vulnerability affected out of date versions of WordPress worldwide and highlighted just how important it is to keep WordPress core, plugins and themes regularly updated. It's no different to keeping your mobile phone or computer up to date with the latest security updates.

Over the past five days, I've been working through all of my clients' websites - restoring sites where necessary, updating WordPress core and plugins, taking fresh backups and carrying out thorough security checks to ensure they're fully protected. It's certainly been a busy few days, but the peace of mind knowing they're secure again has made it worthwhile.

This incident has reinforced why website maintenance is no longer something that can be overlooked. A website isn't something you can simply build and leave for years without ongoing care.
