Stage 1 of the RideLondon Classique will pass through the district on Friday 26 May taking in Steeple Bumpstead, Stambourne, Finchingfield, Wethesfield, Sible Hedingham, Halstead, Earls Colne and Wakes Cole on it's way to Colchester - find more details on the route in the map below and on the RideLondon-Essex website here: https://www.ridelondon.co.uk/the-classique/the-stages/stage-one

On this page you'll also find expected timings if you would like to watch world-class cyclists ride through the district or hold your own viewing event. If you're a school or business on route getting involved, we'd love to hear from you!

There will be short rolling road blocks for this event between around 12pm-1.30pm. Homes on the route will be receiving a road closure guide with more information and there will be local access routes.
