This pic of the Buddha papercraft model I found it in another old folder where I saved screenshots.
I realised I am a screenshot hoarder and I have promised myself to only screenshot and keep the very essential pics I really need.
It is difficult! I try to be more mindful before I take a screenshot and ask myself if i actually need it before it goes in the virtual box of things I will never check again.
I want to start a way of seeing things that is more critical and analytical 🧐. Instead of just passively ingurgitating things I want to stop and reflect on how I see and elaborate visuals and how it impacts me. Moreover I want to re elaborate with my personal perspective. I have noticed this pattern of just saving for later . Things I have never stopped and looked back.
For instance why did I save this paper Buddha? What attracted me? Why did I choose this as a source of inspiration? The material? The fact that something spiritual and usually made of another material is now so fragile as a paper sheet? That it can be build by anyone? That is made of geometrical triangles? That is white? Is it because I am interested in Buddhism so it is unique to see a Buddha like that? Or is the meaning of the paper? Would it look nice as a tattoo? Would it be nice for an editorial project? Can it be used as a branding logo?
Questions I need to answer to myself to go deeper into my visual practice 🙏
