Just finalised the template to laser cut the main roof box for the Ecto 1, complete with engraved markings for where the fan, sniffer and heat sinks go, and it came out perfectly on our new Ortur Laser Master 3.

With a large majority of the first subscribers to the Ecto 1 Build now having completed the gurney, we thought it was about time we released the Satyr’s Models Proton Pack Mods.

One set is enough to mod all 4 of your proton packs.

This set consists of the following:

4 Proton Pack V-Hooks (male)
4 Neutrona Wand V-Hooks (female)
4 Large Proton Pack Hose Connectors
4 Small Proton Pack Hose Connectors
4 Gold Nut Connectors
12 Male Buckles
12 Female Buckles

We’ll also include our very own Ferno Washington sticker for the gurney, painstakingly recreated after researching many online reference photos.

Next batch of mods completed and ready to ship.

Here’s the highly detailed Satyr’s Models Martin Marietta Power Box and the Peripheral Unit.
These come as a pair and will be supplied with both the red and white “Trimco” label and the “96379” numbers that go on the end of the UHF Signal boxes, as can be seen in the many reference photos available online.

We have 10 of these available to the first 10 people to comment “mine”.

We will then contact each person individually for an email address to send the invoice to.

Putting the finishes touches to the next batch of mods.
This pack will consist of 2 more excellent mods from Satyr’s Models.
The first being the Martin Marietta Power Box and the second being the peripheral unit that goes on top of the UHF Signal units.
Included with these two mods will be 2 stickers.
The red and white sticker that goes on the brackets for the UHF signal units, and also the numbers that can be seen in many of the reference photos.

As always, in the interest of fairness, I’ll make a post when I have these ready for sale on a first come first served basis.

Here’s our next mod from Satyr’s Models, the Fox XK Remote Radar Detector.

For years it was widely debated what it was that was sitting on the dashboard of the Ecto 1 in the “Revelation” scene.
From a pack of cigs to Dan's microphone radio. However, recently it was discovered to be an actual radar detector popular in the 80's.

Supplied ready to install with double sided tape attached, and features the original box art on the packaging.
The radar is placed on top of the scanner, and the control box is placed vertically on the left side of the scanner, as can be seen in the reference photos below.

We have 10 of these available now.

Think I’m happy with how this section of the build now looks.

A big improvement on the EM provided parts thanks to the peripheral unit from Satyr’s Models, along with my own custom stickers for the end of the UHF boxes.
I’ve also covered the peripheral unit’s external circuit board with real sponge and real duck tape for a little more authenticity.

Next mod by Satyr’s Models is the Gentec Dummy Antenna.
This replaces the Eaglemoss and uses the same screw to attach it to the base.

We have 10 of these available.

Here’s the next item designed by Satyrs Models and exclusive to modelwerkz.

A missing detail from the engine bay is this Whelen Strobe Power Supply.
This was located on the inside of the drivers side front wheel arch and supplied power to the front strobe lights.
Supplied fully painted with stickers applied, and ready to install using the double sided tape attached to the rear.

(Please note, this is a non-functioning item intended to add missing detail to the engine bay, and does not supply power to any of the available strobe light kits)

Finally have a few small batches of Satyrs Models Ecto 1 mods printed, painted and ready for sale.
These are exclusive to modelwerkz as fully painted items.

First up we have the Panoramic Rear View Mirror.
This replaces the rear view mirror provided by eaglemoss but uses their hardware to install it.
Just peel away the blue protective film to reveal the mirrors.

The price is £25 plus postage and packaging.
