Ask people what I do and they’ll probably say, “You put logos on merchandise.”
And yes… Tall Paul Brands It All 😆
But there’s a lot more that goes on behind the scenes than simply printing a logo on a product.
This recent order for Wade Digital is a perfect example.
The customer had originally supplied the wrong artwork files and, with the deadline getting tighter, we helped get those corrected and ready for production.
Then we spotted another problem.
The original product wasn’t going to arrive in time.
So rather than simply passing the problem back to the customer, we changed the product slightly, kept the order moving and made sure everything was delivered in plenty of time for the event.
In fact, the customer didn’t even know there had been an issue with the delivery date until after the order had been despatched.
That’s the bit of the job people don’t always see.
It’s not just “here’s a coaster with your logo on it.”
It’s checking artwork.
Chasing deadlines.
Finding alternatives.
Solving problems.
And doing everything we can to make sure the customer gets what they need, when they need it.
Their review says it better than I ever could.
Promotional Products Made Simple.
Sometimes making it look simple takes quite a bit of work behind the scenes. 😆

34 years ago today our managing Director Paul Ashworth, started his first full time job as a YTS apprentice printer at the Print Works in Wigan, two bus rides away with a day release to Blackburn College.

It's hard to believe where the time has gone.

I was just 16 years old, walking into a print factory in Wigan, eager to learn a trade. Back then there was no internet, no mobile phones and no emails just the smell of ink, the sound of printing presses and some incredibly skilled people who took the time to teach me.

At the time, I thought I'd spend my whole career in print.

Life had other plans.

As the industry changed and printing companies began to disappear, I was made redundant in my early twenties. It was a difficult time, but looking back, it turned out to be one of the biggest turning points in my life.

That redundancy opened doors I never expected. It led me into account management, introduced me to amazing people and, eventually, gave me the confidence to start my own business.

Thirty-four years later, I still love what I do.

Looking back, I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who helped me along the way the people who taught me, the colleagues I worked with, the customers I've met and even the setbacks that, at the time, felt impossible to understand.

Sometimes the path you plan isn't the one you end up taking.

But every twist, every challenge and every opportunity helps shape who you become.

Here's to the next chapter... and thank you to everyone who's been part of the journey. ❤️

Behind Every Great Review... There's Usually a Story

It's always nice receiving reviews like this.

But what people don't always see is everything that happens behind the scenes to get there.

When Taltha first contacted us about branded coasters, she was understandably concerned about the quality and wanted to make sure they looked exactly right before placing the full order.

Rather than asking her to take a leap of faith, we arranged for a plain sample to be sent out. It's a simple step, but it gave her the opportunity to see and feel the product for herself before committing. Sometimes a sample can make all the difference.

The next challenge was the artwork.

The logo had been supplied as a JPEG, which isn't suitable for commercial printing. Like many businesses, the original vector files had disappeared over time, so our artwork team had to completely redraw the logo into a print-ready format.

To make things even more interesting, parts of the artwork had clearly been created or altered using AI. While AI can be brilliant for generating ideas, it often produces files that aren't suitable for professional printing. Shapes don't quite line up, text isn't editable, colours can be inconsistent, and the finished file usually needs a fair amount of skilled work before it's ready for production.

Once the artwork had been rebuilt, we worked closely with Taltha on the design, making a few refinements before approving the final proof for print.

The end result?

Exactly what we were hoping for.

"I've received the coasters and can I just say I am thrilled with how they've turned out! Thanks for working so closely with me on the design and product choice, and for providing a brilliant service. I hope we get to work together again in future!"

Reviews like this remind us that promotional products aren't just about putting a logo on an item.

They're about offering advice, solving problems, checking artwork, recommending the right product and making sure everything is exactly as the customer expects.

Sometimes, it's the work nobody sees that makes the biggest difference.

What Is a Printing Screen and Why Do I Need One?

Ever wondered what a printing screen is and why some promotional products have a screen setup charge?

Screen printing is one of the most popular methods for branding promotional products. Before printing can begin, a printing screen has to be created for your artwork.

The process starts by separating your logo into individual colours. A fine mesh screen is then coated with a light-sensitive emulsion. Your artwork is exposed onto the screen using UV light, creating a stencil. The areas that make up your logo remain open, while the rest of the mesh is blocked.

During printing, ink is pushed through the open areas of the mesh using a squeegee, transferring your design onto the product with exceptional consistency and durability.

A separate screen is required for each print colour. For example, a one-colour logo needs one screen, while a two-colour logo requires two screens, one for each colour.

So why is there a screen charge?

Creating the screen takes time, specialist equipment and materials. Once made, it can be used to print hundreds or even thousands of identical products with outstanding quality, making screen printing one of the most cost-effective methods for larger quantities.

It's ideal for printing promotional bags, T-shirts, notebooks, folders, umbrellas and many other branded products.

At WeBrand4You, we'll always recommend the most suitable printing method for your artwork, quantity and budget.

In this video, we explain how a screen is created for the screen printing process, why a separate screen is needed for each print colour, and how it helps produce sharp, durable branding on promotional merchandise.

What Is Doming and What Is It Used For?

Have you ever noticed a logo or label with a smooth, raised, glossy finish? That's called doming.

Doming is a process where a clear polyurethane resin is carefully applied over a printed label or badge. As the resin cures, it forms a crystal-clear, three-dimensional coating that enhances colours while protecting the print underneath.

The result is a premium-looking finish that's highly durable, scratch-resistant and ideal for products that need to withstand everyday use.

Doming is commonly used on:

Printed name badges
Domed stickers and product labels
Promotional keyrings
Metal badges
Industrial labels
Control panels
Branded gifts
Promotional confectionery tins and sweet containers
Awards and plaques

The glossy raised finish gives logos greater impact, helping your branding stand out while adding a professional, high-quality appearance.

At WeBrand4You, we supply a wide range of custom domed products, including printed name badges, domed labels and promotional merchandise.

How Is Full-Colour Promotional Drinkware Printed?

Have you ever wondered how colourful designs are printed onto promotional mugs and drinkware?

One of the most popular methods is dye sublimation.

The process begins by printing your design onto specialist transfer paper using sublimation inks. Unlike standard inks, these are designed to turn into a gas when heated.

The printed transfer is then wrapped tightly around the mug or drinkware and secured in place. It is placed into a heat press where high temperatures and pressure cause the inks to transform directly from a solid into a gas.

As the mug heats up, the gaseous ink permanently bonds with the special polyester coating on the surface, becoming part of the product itself rather than sitting on top of it.

Once cooled, the transfer paper is removed to reveal a vibrant, durable, full-colour print with excellent detail and a smooth finish.

Dye sublimation is perfect for photographs, gradients, logos and complex artwork, producing long-lasting results that won't crack or peel under normal use.

At WeBrand4You, we supply a wide range of full-colour printed promotional mugs and drinkware to help your brand make a lasting impression.

How Is Promotional Drinkware 360° Printed?

Ever wondered how company logos wrap all the way around a promotional bottle, travel mug or tumbler?

The process starts by preparing the artwork so it fits perfectly around the curved surface. The drinkware is then placed into a specialist rotary printing machine that securely holds and rotates the product during printing.

As the bottle or mug turns, the print head applies the design with precise registration, creating a seamless 360-degree print. Depending on the product and material, UV digital printing or rotary screen printing may be used to achieve vibrant, durable results.

Once printed, the drinkware is carefully cured or dried before undergoing quality checks to ensure the colours, alignment and finish meet the required standard.

The result is eye-catching branded drinkware with maximum branding area, helping your logo stay visible from every angle.

At WeBrand4You, we supply a wide range of custom printed water bottles, travel mugs, tumblers and reusable drinkware for businesses across the UK.

Price is usually the first and most important to most marketing managers but why ?

Take a best seller such as Promotional Pens

"Can I ask you a question?"

"What's your cheapest pen?"

I've lost count of how many times I've been asked that over the years.

My reply is usually another question...

"What are you trying to achieve?"

Because the cheapest pen isn't always the best value.

A pen that writes smoothly for two years is a better advert for your business than one that ends up in the bin after two days.
