Still unpacking the whirlwind weekend that was NOVUM!
If you were in Newcastle over the past 2 days, you can't have helped but notice the absolute riot of fun and culture that took over the town.

What you might not have seen is the team who has been working away SO HARD in the background to make it happen. Team NOVUM, take a bow! šŸ‘

I was lucky enough to have a part to play behind the scenes myself, designing a brand identity, t-shirts, banners and the map for the culminating event - Dominoes Newcastle! (And it was so exciting seeing the designs all around town - scroll through for a picture of me looking very chill about it all šŸ˜‰ )

For all I've been a designer for 20 years now, it never fails to put a smile on my face to see work out in the world, especially when it's tied to such an EPIC event that brought the whole city so much joy!

Iā€™m loving this trend (started by .now ) where designers have been showing their brand designs, all in monochrome, side by side.

These are a selection of some of my favourites from over the years - a couple of which have just launched this year!

Itā€™s lush seeing all these diverse folk and businesses represented altogether (even if I do, as others have also remarked, much prefer them in their technicolour glory!) and Iā€™m so thankful and proud to have worked with them over the years. šŸ’•

Right 2026 - letā€™s be havinā€™ ya shall we?

2025 was a WILD ride (I feel like everyone feels a little bit bruised by our last trip around the sun donā€™t they? Oof!) but there were some definite highs in there and thatā€™s the energy Iā€™m focusing on today.

2026 is going to be about staying true to my values.
Of all the goals currently clamouring for my attention, thatā€™s the one thatā€™s speaking the loudest.

So this year is going to be about being intentional (rather than trying to be the busiest bee and do it all!) and using my creativity to support and uplift the AMAZING organisations Iā€™m so damned privileged to work with every single day.

Letā€™s do this shall we?

(But with a warm cosy drink, a blanket and some nice snacks - because itā€™s still mid-winter after all!)
