❓ Question of the Month ❓

It can feel different but it’s not necessarily harder!

Many users find that lead-free solder doesn’t flow quite as easily as traditional leaded options. This is mainly because it has a higher melting point (around 217–227°C) and doesn’t “bridge” as readily.

Choosing the right flux will significantly improve wetting performance and help the solder flow more smoothly.

Top tips when switching to lead-free:
🔹Use a slightly more active flux
🔹Make sure your soldering iron has enough power to maintain consistent heat

Radiator Repairs 🚙
