Risk of Damage: Overclocking can increase the heat generated by the CPU, potentially leading to instability and even permanent damage if not managed properly. Manufacturers design CPUs to operate within specific temperature and voltage ranges, and pushing beyond these limits can shorten the lifespan of the CPU.

Power Consumption and Heat: Overclocking increases power consumption and heat output, which can lead to higher energy bills and require more robust cooling solutions. The additional power draw may not justify the marginal performance gains achieved through overclocking, especially in scenarios where energy efficiency is a priority.
