In the space of a month, 3 people have came to me with phones that either they had broken, or a repair service in Swindon had broken.
All 3 phones were broken by these people in the same way: a blown backlight circuit on the phones’ logic boards. This is caused by people that don’t know what they’re doing when attempting a screen replacement.
This sort of damage requires specialist, professional microsoldering which can cost around £60, leaving you with a total bill of over £100 if you paid for a repair service.
Moral of the story? Don’t go to untrustworthy repair shops or attempt a repair yourself. Go to The iPhone Guy 😉
