📍 Today’s installation in Benfleet — and what a transformation! 👌🏻📺

Today we created this beautiful bespoke TV feature wall using warm oak acoustic slat panelling, giving the room a completely new focal point.

The installation included the slat wall feature, wall-mounted TV, floating media cabinet and WOODUPP English oak Akupanel & display shelf, with all the cabling neatly concealed for that clean, seamless finish we always aim for.

The shelf adds another dimension to the feature wall too — somewhere for plants, photos and those all-important niknaks to make the finished installation feel part of the home. 🌿

We’ve just got one small finishing touch to return for — the matching WOODUPP Endemella edge trims were unfortunately out of stock — but once they're available, we'll be back to complete those final edges. 👍🏻

🏠 FROM CHIMNEY BREAST TO BESPOKE MEDIA WALL — COLCHESTER

This one we're particularly proud of. ❤️

What started as an existing chimney breast with a wall-mounted fire has been completely transformed over three days into this bespoke TV and fireplace feature wall.

And this wasn't simply a case of fitting some panelling and mounting a TV...

We constructed a new timber stud wall over the existing chimney breast, creating the additional depth needed to accommodate the new panoramic electric fire while completely changing the proportions and appearance of the room.

From there, the complete project included:
🔨 Bespoke timber stud construction
🔥 Installation and integration of the panoramic electric fire
🪚 New plasterboard, skirting supplied & fitted
🎨 New plasterboard and skirting painted and finished
🪵 English Oak Akupanel feature wall
💡 Warm vertical LED feature lighting
📺 65" TV professionally wall mounted
🔌 Power, equipment and cabling concealed
🛠️ Discreet service access for the Virgin TV box, smart lighting controller and power supply
✨ Everything finished, tested and ready for the customer to enjoy

Day #2 in Colchester ...

Job has been extended slightly as the customer has asked if we can paint the walls as well as fitting the slat wall ... So today finishing off the stud work, plasterboarding, skirting and installing the corner beading on the corners.

Returning Monday (day3) to apply some paint, fit the panels and the warm Smart LED lighting ...

This week’s Fitting File is a bit of a special one… ❤️

A young lad was celebrating his 8th birthday, and Nan had bought him a brand-new TV as a surprise. 🎁

While Dad took the birthday boy out with his friends, Plasma Paul got to work transforming the setup and getting everything ready for the big reveal.

TV mounted, everything neat and tidy, football at the ready… ⚽🎮
Then it was time for the birthday boy to come home and see what had been going on while he was out! 😲📺

Another little adventure from the world of Essex Wall Mounts — where sometimes fitting a TV is about a lot more than just putting it on the wall. ❤️
