Yes, this is yet another anti-AI post. I may be just shouting into the void by now, but this has to be said. The past two months I have lost 3 monthly clients to AI. This equates to £450 loss every month now. This may not seem like a big figure, but when you are the sole provider for the house, it's massive. Especially in todays financial climate. These clients have pretty much abandoned the style I set for them and are now producing posters that are well truly lost in the AI-slop noise I see everywhere.

So, what is the point of this post? I am just asking people to think before using AI. Yes, it is free and easy to use and you want your business to be seen. So do designers. You are giving our livelihoods to a machine that is slowly destroying the planet for posters that are just awful and EVERYONE is doing it. We are taking a hit due to this.

AI is scraping data and compiling something for you with no feeling. It doesn't get to know you and your business. It will never fully understand your ideas. A good designer will and is one of the best tools for your business to stand out from the noise.

All I have left to say is support local designers. It's our careers, businesses and livelihoods and it is being affected by AI slop.

What a whirlwind the past few months have been! Now that the dust has settled, I have a few open design slots available between now and September.

I wonder if there is a way to filter out all the horrendous AI posters that are all over FB. My feed is becoming one giant mash of the same posters over and over again. Where is the originality that your business deserves??

What a crazy end to the year. Continued my work with ETO and SEN Magazine. Sadly, also saw the passing of my mum in October from Cancer. Which led to navigating the craziness that is closing someones estate. Thankfully, that is all nearly done and today I am officially opening the bourbon and putting on my Christmas jumper.

I would like to thank all the people I have worked (and supported me) with this year. It's been a good year for growth and without you it would have been another year of struggle. So, thank you and hope you all have a great Christmas and New Year.

So, from Bruce and I, have great festive period and see you on the other side.
