When Fibuch was asked to talk about his job at his daughter's school careers week, he didn't put together a slideshow and hope for the best.

He built Norbot – a little chatbot that answers questions about software development. Silly ones ("Could a robot eat a sandwich?") and serious ones ("How does a website work?") – the kids got to ask both.

The headteacher called it "really fun and engaging." It was the school's first ever Careers Week.

And then the class sent this 🧡 "To Mr Computer Man" – with a hand-drawn Norbot, Reese's wrapper (apparently Damian's favourite), and a note signed by Isobel, Annie, Lucy and all of Stadhampton-Primary-School

That's the kind of thing you keep forever.

Damian Fibuch joined when the company was still tiny – employee number five, just after Sean Worthington and Frans Lytzen had started the whole adventure. What followed over the next fifteen years is a story that mirrors the growth of NewOrbit itself.

From day-to-day support to helping build and run some of the most complex systems we deliver today.
From developer to Development Team Manager.

But what’s equally special about Damian’s journey is that it was never just about work.

Damian has been part of countless moments that shaped our company culture – from helping the founders move house in the early days, to introducing Sean and Frans to (and its legendary combinations of skiing, beer and meat), to being one of the people who helped connect NewOrbit with the friends and partners who made launching NewOrbit Poland possible.

Fifteen years later, he’s not only the longest-serving member of the team – he’s also someone who has helped shape what NewOrbit is today.

Damo, thank you for the dedication, the reliability, the humour, and the countless moments that make this company what it is.

The festive season in the UK wouldn’t be complete without a bit of organised fun! 🇬🇧✨

This year, we mixed things up with a Secret Santa lucky dip, meaning no one knew who they were buying for until the very end. The result? Plenty of surprises, laughter, and some brilliantly unexpected gifts 🎁

We kicked things off with a team meal at The Lamb Chalgrove, then headed back for games, laughs, and a relaxed evening together – the perfect way to wrap up the year as a team.

Moments like these are a great reminder that strong teams are built not just through work, but through shared time, fun, and genuine connection.

Last weekend, the NewOrbit Poland team came together for our ✨ end-of-year get-together at Hotel Rzeszów ✨ – and once again, it felt far more like a family reunion than a company event.

There was plenty of laughter, great conversations, thoughtful gifts, festive outfits, and that familiar atmosphere of closeness that makes NewOrbit such a special place to be 🎁✨

Moments like these remind us that what really drives our work isn’t just projects or technology – it’s people, trust, and shared experiences built over time.
