📢 A Little Update from Clarkson’s Computers 💻

As some of you may already know, I’ve been having a few health problems recently, and I’m still waiting for answers while the doctors work out what’s going on.

For the time being, it would really help if you could text rather than call

when getting in touch about repairs or enquiries. I’m finding phone calls a little harder to manage at the moment, so texting allows me to reply when I’m feeling up to it. 😊

Although my health hasn’t been the best, I’m still trying to keep things moving with repairs. Being able to carry on working helps keep my mind active and gives me something positive to focus on while I get through all this.

Please bear with me if replies take a little longer than usual or repairs aren't completed as quickly as normal. I’m doing my best, but some days are harder than others.

A Little Update from Clarkson’s Computers 💻

This isn’t something I want to have to post, but my health has to come first.

I’ve been feeling unwell for the past 5 weeks, and unfortunately, we still don’t know what’s causing it. My doctors and specialists are working hard to get to the bottom of things and find out what’s going on.

This is the first time in my life I’ve really been properly ill, and typical me, I’ve managed to end up with a mystery illness! 😂 You couldn’t make it up!

As a result, I’ve now changed my opening hours to **9am–5pm**. Please be aware that on some days I may need to close earlier, depending on how I’m feeling.

Repairs may also take a little longer than usual, as some days are better than others. As a self-employed, one-man business, there’s no one else to fall back on, so I’m doing my best to keep things running and get everyone’s repairs sorted as quickly as I can without making my health worse.

I’m not giving up or stopping trading — I just need to take things at a sensible pace while the doctors work out what’s going on.

I really appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding and continued support. It genuinely means a lot to a small, independent business like mine. ❤️

🔥 Microsoldering Repairs – Not Every Fault Needs a New Laptop

These are two repairs completed in the workshop that required precision soldering work.

⚡ Backlight Repair – A laptop with a dim screen caused by a failed backlight circuit, repaired instead of replacing the whole device.

🔌 DC Port Repair – A damaged charging port carefully removed and soldered back onto the motherboard using professional hot-air equipment.

These types of repairs require specialist tools and experience, helping save laptops that many would write off as beyond repair.
